The electric hybrid car: development and future of battery by Michael Hereward Westbrook (2001) mainly it deals with the history, process of electric cars manufacture. This book carries on many of considerable information attaching to my research question: “: How does Hybrid electric car generate electricity?”
The author of this book, Westbrook, is a great writer who has written couple of other books about engineering. He has backed up all his ideas including references from other engineer’s writers.
This book covers many of the historical designing and the process in producing hybrid vehicles that doesn’t require gas engines to start their performance.
This book is divided into several chapters; some of the chapters are relevant to my research question. They include: the history of electric cars up to 1990, controls and power electronics, energy sources 2-other technologies and more. All these chapters, the main once are chapter 7, 8 and 9. I decided to put more attention on these chapters since it will make me understand how hybrid electric cars generate electricity.
The reason of having gasoline engine is because it provides acceleration more than the hybrid electric car.
