All People are Equal Within the World of Work I do not agree with the statement at all, allthough in a right normal world of work, it should be true. Many people often judge people by thier appearence, or past experience. It could be anything, discriminating someone is easilly done. And its often simple things like hair styles or piercings, disability or gender than can stop you from working where you want to. With nearly all jobs these days; you'll have to fill out an application form, which can be a nightmare to many people. Everyone has heard or seen someone at a disadvantage when applying for a job because of thier sexuality or gender. For sexuality, there is definately no reason at all why this should effect someones ability, or performance in a career or job. Im some cases, like areas in the armed forces, some women arnt allowed to be employed for (in my and the military's eyes) a valid reason. But in some cases, because you are a certain sex, you may not get the desired job. Allthough sometimes there are jobs specifically for the disabled, for some it is incredibly hard to find a job, simply because some people think they havent got the minerals to do it. No matter what kind of dissability it is, someone will always look twice when interviewing you. People may feel that they dont have any chance of getting a job if they ar eun-quallified, in some cases, this is true. But theres some jobs you do not need grades for, or high ones like Cs and upwards. People employing applyees are often looking for grades, or some kind of proof maybe that your experienced in the relevant field or have had an education. Believe it or not racism is still around, as stupid, sad and pathetic as it may be, some people still suffer from it. If someone was to have purple spikey hair, the employee would presume straight away they were a punk with attitude,

As long as an American woman is putting in the same amount of hours with the same qualifications and experience in the same occupation as an American male, and yet taking home a wage that is any lower, she is not being treated fairly as an equal. Contrary to many arguments, it’s undeniable that a wage gap exists, and while there are various ideas as to the most probable cause, there is no reason why this gap should continue to go uncorrected or unchanged. Our government should take concrete steps to close the gender wage gap because it violates women’s rights and equality.

Sexism is the ideology that maintains that one sex is inherently inferior to the other. Sexism or discrimination based on gender has been a social issue for many years; it is the ideology that one sex is superior or inferior to the other. Sexism does not only affect females, but also males. Men are very often victimized by social stereotypes and norms based on gender expectations. Sexism has appears in almost all social institutions including family, the media, religion, sports, the military, politics, and the government. One problem that Americans are facing is the inequality between men and women, whether it is in everyday life or in a professional atmosphere. One step that has been taken toward equality was introduced with the Equal Pay Act of 1963, signed by President John F. Kennedy.
