As people get older memory loss can become an issue. Having trouble with memory can lead to Alzheimer’s disease. That is why when people think of Alzheimer’s they first think of old people. Alzheimer’s is more than just a disease. For some people, unfortunately, it is a way they have to live their life. Researchers and doctors cannot prevent this disease completely. Once people start to have symptoms of this disease things only start to get more challenging. Remembering everyday people can become difficult. People that are not exposed to the disease can only try to understand what it is like to live with it. People that are not exposed to Alzheimer’s cannot begin to fully understand the disease. Many people may not be fully aware of what Alzheimer’s is. Alzheimer’s impacts the brain and its memory ability. According to the article “What is Alzheimer’s disease?”, “Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.” Having to live with this disease would make a simple life a complicated one. Research was found from a women that had past away in the early 1900’s. In 1906 a doctor named Alois Alzheimer examined the brain of a women that had died from an unusual mental illness (“What is Alzheimer’s disease?”).
