The purpose of this paper is to give you information on Amazon and how it would be ran in my own words. This is a company that was started as an online bookstore and now selling worldwide to any and everyone. Amazon.com was incorporated in 1994 by founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. Amazon.com sold its first book online in 1995, and since then has defined and redefined online retailing for the rest of the world. Amazon.com is an American electronic commerce company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington. It is the largest internet-based retailer in the United States Amazon.com started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified. Selling DVDs, VHs’s CD’s, videos, and MP3 download streaming.
Not only did Amazon break into its own market it has broken into 11 markets globally and successfully. Amazon has separate retail websites for United States, United Kingdom, & Ireland, France, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Australia, Brazil, Japan, China, India and Mexico. Amazon also offers international shipping to contain other countries for some of its products. In 2011, it had professed an intention to launch it websites in Poland and Sweden.

Amazon is a company with a single enterprise that has risen to the top of the Most Innovative Companies List. It has been increased to this fortitude due to this company’s innovative ideas and the ideas for growth for their consumers as well. As technology had changed, so did Amazon by offering Prime which was a membership that could be purchased to allow the consumer to acquire items faster and receive the products more quickly.
