Amelia Earhart was a role model for girls when she was alive and still is today.
Amelia Earhart is a role model to young women because she wasn’t afraid to take risks. She was born when there weren’t a lot of opportunities for girls to fly or follow their dreams. Today girls have more opportunities then she did. She thought it was important for other women to follow their dreams. Because of everything she accomplished in her life and records that she broke. Amelia Earhart was; adventurous as a child. (1 SV; SV.) She was born July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. (1) When Amelia was seven she built a roller coaster made out of boxes, wood, and roller-skate wheels in her backyard. Amelia pretended to travel around the world and had a magic chariot. (2) Amelia loved flying from her very first flight. She took her very first flight when she twenty-three. Three years later she got her pilot license and her own plane. (2) Amelia was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean as a passenger in 1928. (3) Her free time was spent flying.
