America Is A Home For Everyone Essay

Transitions are never an easy thing to conquer. It is often hard and stressful to cope with changes to one’s surrounding, but in the cases in which one manages to conquer this obstacle, elevation of knowledge and experience are great results gained from this achievement. I originally came from Africa and recently moved to the United States to join my mother and my step father. This great change in the things I had become accustomed to in my daily life was not easy, furthermore taking into account the fact that I had never experienced a transition so little as shifting from one residence to another.

America. We are a free country, but it wasn’t always that way . We had to fight for our freedom. I was one of the many people that made our freedom possible. I am John Dickinson, and I was part of the American Revolution!

For over 300 years, various ethnic, cultural, and social groups have come to this country to seek economic opportunity, reunite with family members, and find a place where they can be free from political and religious persecution. I suspect a majority of American-born citizens believe that immigration is a bad thing in this country that is harmful. Those particular Americans believe that this country is being infested by foreigners who cannot even speak our own language. However, if one were to look at the truth behind these fallacies, he/she would see that immigration is beneficial to our country and should not be abandoned. Instead, it should be increased.

To begin, a lot of people think that immigration is bad for the United States for lots and lots of reasons. Although this may be true, not all immigrants are bad or good. Therefore, It is a pro and it is good for our country. In other words, the three reasons why they are good for our community is that they will pay their taxes, will take the jobs Americans do not want, and boost up the economy.

America. The land of the Free and Brave. Our ancestors have fought hard to keep our land Free from those that would want to take away our freedom and our spirits. But, we have persevered through the years keeping this land of ours Free and Brave.

mmigration in the United States has been a problem for many years. The questions of whether immigrants are protected under our laws or not has been battled out in courtrooms. From De Canas v. Bica, which was about the employment of illegals to Toll v. Moreno, which denied G-4 aliens from obtaining an in state status that would help them pay less for college. Even though our right to education has not yet been written into the Constitution it has been applied in the fourteenth amendment. Most specifically in the Equal Protections Clause, which states in shorter words that “all American citizens should be treated equally by the law.” This amendment protects all “people” within the state.(Constitutional Rights Foundation).

The United States has always been “home” to me because I feel that I am a bit of the quintessential American story. I was born to immigrants hoping for a better opportunity than what was offered from their third world home country. I was raised and went to school here, which blended many of my parent’s home culture and the new American culture. As I have matured, I have noticed how much my life has been influenced by society’s opportunities and issues. The American character is the crossroads of opportunity, struggle, and hopefulness because the it is not only a reflection of the founding father’s ideas, but also a reflection of minorities who have interjected their experiences that shaped my American journey.

Immigration has been a large conversation topic for such a long time in our country. We have worked on policies for immigration, and have made changes to them throughout the duration of our country’s existence. This topic is always worth mentioning and important, but has become a bigger topic once again due to presidential elections and the conversations being had about immigration from said elections. It is not necessarily easily seen if the concern with immigration is who is here legally or limiting who may be able to enter our country at any time. The immigrants that are coming to the U.S. do not all become U.S. citizens, and we are seeking for everyone that lives here to be documented. This is for everyone to receive equal treatment and taxation from government policies already set it.

Immigration as a whole is not the problem of focus but instead it is the system that is in place to regulate immigration and prevent the negative aspects of immigration influencing the United States. The Obama Administration recognizes the system is broken and knows it is a big deal for the country not only are we aware of the situation but there are things we would like to put into action in order to fix the system, sooner rather than later. The Obama Administration would like to do things such as place focus on deporting felons and not hardworking families and ensuring that those who do immigrate to the United States do their fair share within the country. We believe the United States citizens are not losing their jobs solely because of the immigration but because of the illegal immigration and undocumented workers who are employed largely because they are exploited and will work for much lower wages. We see this as hazardous to our economy. The Obama administration has taken executive actions in order to try and fix the system however powers are still limited and it is ultimately up to congress on whether these such actions can be executed successfully. Such actions would include tackling immigration at it source , the border, and strengthening security, earned citizenship, streamlining immigration, and using immigration to grow our economy.

Imagine walking outside your house and seeing green grass, nice houses, clean streets, and friendly people. When you are thinking of that you are thinking of America. Living in the United States is a great place to live for all people. Living in America is great. Living in the United States gives us the freedom to choose what we want to do, to have successful lives if we work hard enough, and for all types of people to have opportunities. That is the United States.

America has gifted my generation many gifts, including freedom, free education, and the bravest of them all, the veterans of U.S. America has provided many jobs and opportunities; however many places don’t have the opportunities America does. I’m very proud of what America has become. All over the world, America is known as the land of the free, and this gift and many others make America the land I love.

Countless people across America view immigration as something negative, however, this thought can be proved wrong. Immigrants both legal and illegal are ordinary people, but people like us continue to give them labels and make them feel like total outcasts. Deporting these people who love America just as much as we do is not the answer. Because most immigrants work jobs and pay taxes, immigrants may not have a negative impact on the United States’ economy.

Known as the land of possibilities, the United States of America encourages dreams to become reality. Many people immigrate to America, seeking the opportunity to create a better life for themselves. Americans take pride in the principles of liberty, expression of values, freedom, and equality their country was founded on. These elements set the stage for the United States and explain why so many citizens have an immense love for their promising country.

The phenomenon of migration to US back to several reasons; economic, political, and social which force people to leave their original environment. It may have sometimes happened due to an external force during periods of war, which forces people to abandon their native country. It should not be ignored the role of scarcity of natural resources, unemployment, poverty, and the loss of the ability to satisfy vital needs. Furthermore, Immigration is considered to be a demographic characteristic that moves from one place to another, either for getting better conditions or for escaping from a bad life. Migration can be a significant positive payoff; It is clear evidence in transferring knowledge, skills and enrich cultures. A country’s strength is not based on its successful economy, powerful military or the number of inhabitants it has. A great nation is great because of its people. America was founded by brave and hardworking men and women who traveled to an unknown land to completely start over. My hope is that today's people of America are as courageous as the ones who settled in the land that we now call home. We are supposed to be the home of the brave and I don’t ever want to lose our bravery.
