My background includes serving as a customer service associate within many different environments. Most recently, I worked at the customer service desk for Whole Foods Market-Saint Paul, where my responsibilities included handling customer merchandise returns, issuing refunds/store credits, answering phones, and back-up cashiering during busy periods.
I am also now employed by American Eagle Outfitters as a sales associate. From the three and a half years that I have been there, I have worked about every job responsibility possible for an associate. This has taught me many skills such as multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills. I enjoy how every day is a new challenge and keeps you on your toes.
Although I am trying to move
Before Kroger, she had worked for Conseco Senior Health Insurance Company. As a Senior Claims Auditor she would review claims to be sure they were not fraud, maintained Excel spreadsheets, and reviewed policies. She really enjoyed this role, however they laid people off when they got bought out by another company.
After careful review of the American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. 2014 Annual Report, it was noted that the company have four areas that they are focusing on. My foremost ambition after becoming an Eagle Scout is to become a Doctor after graduating from Medical School. For me setting goals, are the steps to achieving my ambition. Without goals I would not progress on, which would prevent me from reaching my Ambition. Being an Eagle Scout has been a goal for me since I joined Cub Scouts in DATE. The Eagle Scout rank is a goal that, once completed will help me get into Medical School. Being an Eagle Scout will help me get into the medical school by showing my hard work and determination to succeed and help others. It was only a seasonal job, so they weren't too picky with their hiring and within a month I was hired and put to training. Training was fun, it was I working like everybody but somewhat supervised. After the training I'll be honest, I hated working there. I couldn't stand having to put clothes away for four hours and barely being able to talk to anybody besides a passerby customer who would politely brush me off every time I asked the required, "Do you need any help with anything? No? Okay, let me know!" It got old real quick. I missed the constant interaction I got with the kids I used to
Both of these companies are doing better than the industry average at turning over their inventory.
Druring the summer of 2013 I worked at U-haul. During my time there I learned many skills which are transferable between jobs. One such skill is the ability to help customers effectivly so they leave with a good impresion of the company. While customers might have not gotten what they neded due to all the moving vans being reserved I was frequently able to find an altenate solution that benifited the customer so they left with satisfaction. Working at U-haul also bolsterd my ability to effectively multitask in an fast paced and demanding setting.
My last position as a Reimbursement Assistant afforded the opportunity to thoroughly develop my customer service skills. The primary duty was to contact insurance companies for claim inquiries. I knew to remain calm and courteous when I spoke to customer service representatives from insurance companies because it often resulted in receiving more than enough information for claim inquiries. Sometimes, customer service representatives would tell me that they spoke to my supervisor and made sure to tell her how kind and professional I was on any given call.
Since my last reflection I have worked 9 at Old Navy. I have continued to work on registers mostly however, at one point, my manger asked me to cover fitting rooms for someone's 15 minute break. I was excited that I could try a new job. I had to develop new skills to undertake this new challenge of working the fitting rooms. One of my co-workers showed me the ropes. The job basically consisted of telling people which dressing room to go in, unlocking the door with a key, placing a marker on the door, and taking back the clothes that the costumers don't want and folding them. I enjoyed this job a lot actually and I hope my manger will put me in fitting rooms for a whole shift one day.
Every day I learned something new. It is a fun environment to work due to having new customers. The important part of the job is the urgency of getting things done which teached me to improve more and more. The most enjoyable part is to be able to help people and have a part in making their dreams come true.
