Enterprise has to strive to establish a well developed information system for its survival. It is difficult for a bank to do business without implementing information technology system because this is a time which requests speed for everything. For a bank, information technology has become the key to construct the competitive advantage. In this case, an information technology system not only helps AIB do the business quicker, but also easier. IT system can help a firm to increase value in network and build an efficient information value chain which means customers can get higher level of transparency while having IT system in a firm. [1] Since AIB branch managers claim that they need to make greater use of integrated information technology system as a competitive tool.

No communication tools between branches Based on this case, another big issue in AIB was that there is no communication tool between branches. It is impossible to do the business without communication because it’s not effective if CEO wants to declare something important by meeting which is once a month. In addition, if some emergent event happen suddenly, it’s hard to discuss without communication tool. On the other hand, a legacy IBM 4300 system at the London office has hard time to network with all other offices using Microsoft Windows-based desktop
