"The Saturday Evening Post, the cover written 'The Daisy of Chicago married with Tom Buchanan', she wore the white wedding dress with some navy blue diamond particles on her white wedding veil. My hand slowly moved forward, reaching to touch that girl's face, and then she suddenly looked at me sadly, wailed, 'Liar! I don't want to see you again' Suddenly, I was in the darkness, feeling that I was falling and her insolent word was repeating in my head. I yelled, 'Stop, stop, stop, stop..." I opened my eyes whilst my heart was beating furiously. I walked to the veranda after getting off my bed. The winding made me sober, realizing it was just an unreal dream, I smiled. I stared at the green dock; its flashing was calling the last help from …show more content…
Although I was a courageous soldier in the war that I could determine which types of weapon was the best fit for murdering every kind of enemies, I sensed my determination was being locked up when I was dealing with vogue. My bedroom had already become a landfill I still couldn't find one that performed a feeling of a gentleman. White suit caused me even weak, black suit caused me even prevalent, and green suit caused me even silly. After having a competition with my brain for the entire morning, I decided a final outfit was a white flannel suit, sliver shirt, and golden-coloured tie. Then, I stood in front of the mirror for an hour to ensure everything had to be perfect; I felt the mirror was going to crack while I was checking again and again. I turned my head and looked at the clock, I froze, only half hour left. I rushed into down stair, running into the door. Meanwhile, the butler interrupted me, " You ought to have some food, master." "There is no time for doing worthless thing." "Please look at the mirror." The reflection told me I was absolutely a hunger vampire; valves and blood vessels appeared from my white thin skin. I order he to cook soup for …show more content…
In fact, I was thinking what should I do after I meet her repeatability. I had to give her the perfect impression of me. I awaked ,and Nick was waiting for my answer. What was his question? Grass? I questioned blankly, "What grass?" He glanced at me awkwardly. I noticed he was mentioning the grass in the yard. He seemed to use our conversation to my inner tension, but that would never help. Since I was too nervous, my body temperature began to descend and look around his house like a terse cat in a strange place. Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock that sound let me in a total alert state, feeling the sound was moving even faster; my hands were in an incessant vibration. Before a second, I kept walking forward and backward; I was a volcano ready for an expulsion, stood up, " I can wait all day." I looked at my watch was already four o'clock, " Nobody's coming to tea. It's too late." Nick smiled, "Don't be silly; it's just two minutes to four." Your stupid watch! You made me freaked out! I would fix you later! "Is this absolutely where you live, my dearest one?" Oh my god! She was arrived! Jay Gatsby don't be a
How have you been? I hope life is going well. How is mom doing? Are you and her eating and sleeping well? I want to be very honest in this letter. Please do not tell mother what I am about to tell you. I don’t want to worry her. I don’t want to worry you too but you’re stronger than mom. What I am about to tell you please take it into consideration but also don’t worry as much.
One of Daisy’s biggest sins included misleading her husband by marrying him. Tom Buchanan remained deceived with the impression of Daisy loving him. After she cut her ties with Gatsby, she set off on a new adventure, transforming her normal life into riches. Daisy “wanted her life shaped now, immediately-and the decision must be made by some force- of love, of money, of unquestionable practicality” and soon “that force took the shape of Tom Buchanan”. Tom’s kindness attracted Daisy the first time they met. But as time progressed, she grew infatuated with his money more than his personality. The little glimpse of greed from her youth developed into a powerful force which took control of her emotions. To Daisy, the importance of money overpowered her will to achieve happiness. Daisy’s love rang once for Tom but Jay Gatsby answered her call. She cheated on her husband Tom because she desired Gatsby more. On the day of Myrtle’s death, Daisy confronted both Tom and Gatsby with her true emotions by confessing “even alone I can’t say I never loved Tom… It wouldn’t be true”. She loved Tom but since Daisy’s with Gatsby, she doesn’t love him anymore. Daisy broke the vows she made to Tom when they married each other. Breaking the promise of marriage gave her the thrill she always dreamed of in her youth.
Thank you for taking an interest in the role! I really appreciate it. — So I have some background for the Emilia role, but it's open to creative freedom. She, Brandon (me) and the Kit all grew up on the bad side of town (I haven't picked a location yet, as I wanted everyone's input once I got the group together) She and Brandon are very close, almost like siblings, and he's very protective of her; they have a relationship like Dom and Mia from Fast and the Furious.
I am writing to you on the behalf of the terrible accident that happened the other day with me and your darling son Theodore. I just wanted to clear this up for you, so you don’t have to report it to the state generals office. Here is what actually happened...
"The world didin't always look like this......the world wasen't always like this. At one time the world was vast with green and ocean's as blue as the sky opposing them. People like you and me loved and laughed with their family's and friends. Animal's like the dog next to me were beautiful creatures. Ace next to me there was my dog.....no matter what he stayed next to me all the way till now...he was the only thing that gave me hope in the world my ace in a deck of cards. People were better before..they came. Now it's time i tell you about the giant in the background.
“Not ones our age.” I pegged him at no more than early thirties, but that could be due to the scruff coating his jawline.
Nothing was heard, only the water droplets that drops from the crack ceiling. Making a small puddle on the ground, having mice roaming around the place.
Tom and Daisy Buchanan, the rich couple, seem to have everything they could possibly want. Though their lives are full of anything you could ever ask for, and still they are unhappy and seek to change, Tom goes on to say "forever seeking a little wistfully for the dramatic turbulence of some irrecoverable football game"(pg. 10) and reads "deep books with long words in them"(pg. 17) just so he has something to talk about. Even though Tom is married to Daisy he has an affair with Myrtle Wilson and has apartment with her in New York. Daisy is just as unhappy with the marriage as her husband. Even before her relationships with Tom or, Gatsby are revealed, Daisy does nothing but sits around all day and wonders what to do with herself. She knows that Tom is cheating on her, and still she doesn't leave him even when Gatsby tells her he’s in love with her. Daisy lets Gatsby know that she too is in love with him but can’t tell Tom about the affair even when Gatsby forces her too. Daisy and Tom are perfect examples of wealth and prosperity, and the American Dream. Yet
Our father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Jamal woke up in a dark, dirty, damp place. He was in a room with another unconscious or perhaps sleeping man. Suddenly a light turned on and two men in suits stood the entrance of the room. One pointed at Jamal and said, “The kingpin wishes to see you.” They left the room and Jamal followed. They entered a hallway filled with similar rooms, not a trace of sunlight in the whole building. Then they entered a massive room with hundreds of miserable people doing slave like work. They were manufacturing illegal narcotics and it appeared to be against their will. He kept following the two suited men until they reached a massive, decorated door which they opened. In the room was a throne made of dollar bills and a tall, muscular man rested upon it.
“Concentrate, Aiden!” He clapped his hands. “Please you really need to focus. This is important. Children have to be careful when they venture into the forest. There’s a pack of wild, voracious wolves with gaping mouths reeling with fangs and forked tongues each as thick as my wrist. They roam the woods, ten feet or more, and then hung in the trees, breathing raggedly tasting your scent, considering how best to devour you. As a matter of fact only, the other day several of them snatched a baby elf out of its sleeping mother’s arms and thrashed the poor little dear to pieces.
As the novel goes on Daisy realizes she did marry for money and not for love. The chase for her American Dream destroyed Daisy’s
was when Paul went out the window and walked on the fire escape to see if he could make it to the next apartment to get help.
“I can’t speak about what happened five years ago because I didn’t know Daisy then-and I’ll be damned if I see how you got within a mile from her unless you brought the groceries to the back door. But all the rest of that’s a God damned lie. Daisy loved me when she married me and loves me now” (Fitzgerald, 131). Daisy is superficial, materialistic, yet a beautiful woman,
The heavy mint cream white fog pours into the room from all sides near and far. In the foreground I can see brilliant cherry red and lime green laser lights flood the room. The four strobe lights positioned behind me are all scintillating a pearl white, in a synchronized pattern. Hundreds of people all sitting out in front of us fill the whole room. The giant vermillion and charcoal colored stage curtains hang from the ceiling all the way down to the floor on the stage right in front of us. Then the giant curtain splits in half both ends quickly accelerating left and right.
