One Republic is an American pop rock band founded in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2002. The band has five people, consisting of lead vocalist Ryan Tedder, guitarist Zach Filkins, guitarist Drew Brown, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher. One Republic moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and became famous in 2007 when they debuted their song “Apologize”. In the years before 2007, the band spent its time doing small things and garnering little attention. One Republic went on an expansive tour from 2013-2015. In 2003 One Republic signed on with Sony BMG Combia’s label; three years later, after returning to LA from Coachella, they found themselves abandoned by Colombia’s label.
