Superheroes live to protect and save the living from otherworldly destruction or from self-destruction. If we do need a fictional superhero to protect us humans from these kind of events, I would strongly suggest that the superhero, Superman has to be our saviour. Superman, being the most iconic superhero of all time, is almost known by every person around the world. The Superman radio serial (1940s) intro, "Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ... It's Superman!" People would immediately know that this is Superman without the phrase, “It’s Superman!” because it was, and still is very popular and widely known. Kryptonite for example, Superman gets weak if he is exposed to this element. In the animated movie adaptation of JLA: Tower of Babel, Justice League: Doom, Superman was shot by a Kryptonite bullet by Metallo and it was removed by a surgery performed by his ally and close friend, Cyborg, with his Kryptonite scalpel. But, yet, in the comic series, Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Two, issue #22, Superman was also shot with a Kryptonite bullet, but he managed to take it out of his body and be at full power again. In another event in the comic book series, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Superman was beaten down by Katar with a Kryptonite mace. Over the course of their battle, Superman eventually became immune to the effects of Kryptonite and defeated Katar. He is vulnerable to Kryptonite, but there is not an abundance of it on Earth. He is the hero that I would like to protect our world from dangers. Superman is strong, nearly invulnerable and a wise man, but, Superman is a superhero, and a fictional one. Fictional heroes doesn’t exist in the real world, they only exist in fictional worlds. Superheroes like Superman save people by using their superhuman abilities. They can lift a car and throw it with their bare hands. They can run as fast as a bullet, or even faster than light (The Flash). Heroes do exist though, but they do not have the strength to lift a car, or be as fast as a bullet. The definition of hero is the following statement: “A person noted for courageous acts or nobility of character.” Heroes does not need to have superhuman strength or superhuman speed. To be a hero is to be noble and courageous; willing to save and sacrifice their lives for the good of the others. Our heroes are the people who has these kind of qualities. People like the police, the military, the firemen/women, etc. They are heroes. They do not have superhuman abilities but they are
