Based on the conclusions of this report, the following recommendations are made:

1. Because the active ingredients is the main cause to sensitivity and pain, the percent level of the H2O2 should be known before applying the treatment. If the percent is too high it will cause damage to the teeth. 2. There are many products that can remove discolorations from teeth. Finding a product that works, without causing pain, is what’s important.

Introduction

In today’s world, cosmetic surgery and treatments have become extremely popular. Teeth whitening or bleaching is one of those treatments. It has become one of the most popular dental treatments in the past two decades. In the late 1980’s teeth whitening dramatically changed when dentists started prescribing at home bleaching. Since then the tooth whitening market has developed into four categories. Professionally applied (in office treatments); dentist prescribed (at home use); over-the-counter products (at home use); such as Crest White strips, and Listerine White strips; and non-dental options such as, mall kiosks, and spas.
