These are the moments you should hold dear to, either valuable or dreadful, the most because of your experience you can learn from them or remember why that event changed you for the better. Today I will be telling you three events that transformed me for the surpassing. In addition, my first meaningful event was when I first accepted Christ into my heart. I was ten years old at first I did not know what I was doing, but when I got older I became more and more fond of God. Without him I am nothing I would not be the person I am today. God has made me a loving, generous, and bright person. He has made me grasp life is best lived through him and today I am doing the best I can to live it out. …show more content…
I was five years old, my father signed me up to play tee ball. My first game was the worst game of my life, I didn’t know what to do, I was playing outfield and the baseball was hit to me so I grabbed it and ran it towards the pitcher’s mound. I was young and didn't know what I was doing. Now I have learned a lot about baseball, and I am still learning today. Baseball is a vital part of my life, I would not know what I would do without it. Baseball has turned me into a super competitive person. I absolutely hate losing! Baseball has also changed me into a hard working person. Baseball has beaten me to the ground, to the point where I want to quit, but I never quit I always get back up and work on whatever I need to do to get better. I work hard day and day out to perfect any skills that I am lacking. So technically baseball has transformed me into a hardworking
“Every strike brings me closer to the next home run”(Babe Ruth). I was wondering how much baseball really affected my life and the choices I make. The answer is a lot, and it still continues to leave a mark on this life I love. Over the many years of my involvement in the game I have learned that life is full of ups and downs. Baseball teaches people to bounce back from negatives, this I believe.
There has been many important events that have occurred since I have been born but there is one in particular that has sparked a light in me that has changed the way i have looked at things. It happened when I was playing with the Sacramento FC and everything was going well until the middle of the season. When we got to the middle of the season things started to look shady. I wasn't getting playing time and that really opened my eyes to reality. Soccer was not the only thing that I needed to do in order to have a good life. I needed to start focusing on my dreams and different routes to success other then just soccer. It really showed what I need to do in order to survive in the real world. If it was not for my family's support through this
All the ups and downs that are dealt out every game to every player. It has taught me how to deal with so many challenges in my life. Things like: anger, bad calls, getting blown out, blowing a team out, sportsmanship, family, and so much more. Growing up I had very serious anger issues, and was a constant thorn in my mom’s side, always getting in trouble at school and fighting with my older sister. But playing baseball truly cleared the sky for me. I learned while pitching that I needed to control my emotions because if not it would affect the results. I was able to transfer this into my everyday life, by controlling my emotions better I was able to stay out of trouble, get better grades, and realize how important the relationships are that I have with my friends and family. Getting blown out by a team is one of the most upsetting feelings in baseball. While your team sits in the dugout with their tails between their legs, just wishing the game was over, and the other team is is acting like a child in a candy store. This taught me to enjoy the little things in life. Even though the game isn’t going the way I want it to, I should enjoy the fact that I’m doing something I love. I have implemented this into my life in many ways, and it has allowed me to be the right guy, at the right
This attempt at perfection opened many doors that led me to meet teammates and coaches that were shaping me into a better baseball player but also molding me into a better man. I was taught to be selfless not selfish and to put my teammates in front of me for the success of the team as a whole. Teamwork is a vital trait for me as I plan to enter into the field of business. If the people in a company do not work for the overall betterment as a whole, the company will not thrive to its full potential. The sport has also given me a great work ethic that I would not have received from any other experiences. Because I want to go as far as possible in the game of baseball, I have worked day and night in the weight room and on the field to get where I plan to end up. This determination can also be used in the business world as well because I will be able to push the company to its full potential, as well as the rest of the workers.
Baseball to the vast majority sounds like that one Sport where whatever you do is lounge around and hold up to hear the break of the bat. That’s not what the sport of baseball genuinely is. But to me, this sport has transmuted the way I see life all in all. Each and every athlete on the team has been illuminated to have extraordinary dedicated demeanor, regardless if it's in a training room or pregame warmups. Mentors have disposed initiative chances to teammates year after year and this this season it's my turn in light of my strong efforts and sturdy and my competency to be on the team. I did not turn into the individual that I am by lounging around. If it wasnt for baseball,
Baseball Improved my health a lot. The summer I played for Mountain range, was the summer I learned baseball is harder than I thought. I worked so hard that summer that I lost 20 pounds, I used to be 160 in 8th grade but when baseball came around it went away like dust in the wind. My coaches taught me a lot and got me physically and mentally prepared for baseball, I would not be able to hit a ball until i joined the program. After the games we played the coaches would tell us to run poles,(Which where you touch both foul poles and we would do at least 8 poles) I would run them and try to get faster every time I would see who would be in front of me and then the next game get in front of them. Baseball changed my health in many ways.
Baseball is the reason I turned out to be the person I am today. It has taught me lifelong lessons that I will carry with me off this earth. The hard work and focus and also the integrity I put into it was because of my coaches. They pushed me every step of the way. When I wanted to give up they were there to tell me keep going strive for greatness. At a young age I tried out for T-Ball, made it to little league where I won most valuable player, and ended my baseball career in high school.
When I was four I started playing soccer. I played soccer for only one season then quit it and then moved on to t-ball. I just absolutely loved t-ball and everything about the sport of baseball. I grew up playing baseball. It pretty much lived the sport. When I turned seven I made my first All-star team. I was pretty excited about it. Every year after that, I made the All-Star team. But when I turned nine years old that’s when I was absolutely amazed by the sport.
There are many events that stand out in my life that were significant and helped me grow stronger. One of these events stands out in particular to me and had the greatest impact in my life. When I attended high school my focus was never on the academics but only on sports and having fun with my friends. I never payed attention for more than five seconds and failed to complete any type of work given to me. My lack of care for high school affected me on going to a four year college, playing a sport in college, and taking remedial classes.
Life seems to take many twists and turns that somehow mesh into each other to form a chaotic knot of happenings. All of these occurrences are supposed to shape you into a wiser more experienced person. Many people can even pin point the exact moment in their life which was forever changed by a single event. When that event happens it becomes an unforgettable memory for you and teaches you a lesson that becomes one of the basic guidelines in your life. An accident last year changed my attitude towards life . That accident had a great impact on me , it taught me to treasure what i have and to treasure those people around me more . Although the accident was not life threatening , it was still the scariest thing i had ever been through in life . It was an accident that no one would have expected and wanted it to happen .
A life-changing event is not something to be taken lightly. Throughout our lives, we encounter many obstacles and changes, some of which bring us joy and excitement, others of which may be hard for us to handle. When I look back on my relatively short life, it may, at first, be hard for me to think of an event that has truly molded and shaped the person that I am today. I have encountered several changes, but at the time, they felt like mere speed bumps along my path. Looking back now, it is easy for me to see that these changes were not by chance, but were placed in my path to form the person that I am today.

There have been very few events throughout my lifetime that I feel have impacted or inspired me with such noteworthiness and that I know will change my outlook on the world and affect me forever. One of those events occurred when I traveled to Portugal, my parent’s homeland. From this excursion in 2007, I learned the importance of family, most importantly the distant kind. It provided me with a totally different perspective on the world and how large and extended one’s family can really be; even across cultures and continents. I felt so fortunate learning this lesson at a young age and growing to appreciate the ideals I was brought up with as a child. The family I have in Portugal has always been there; however, their faces have aged and
In life we all have something that has changed the way we perceive things. Most things that change a person’s perception happens to be an experience that they have gone thru and learned from. In my case it wasn’t necessarily an experience, it was a dog that changed my perception on life. My mind and heart was opened in a whole new way. I never thought I could love an animal just as much as I loved the people in my life. I always thought it was strange that pet owners loved and treated their pets the same way they treated their children. My perception on dogs or pets in general definitely changed. Throughout this paper you will see why I am a totally different person because of a dog that entered my life.
