An Interesting Voyage Through My Family 's History

As I assembled my genogram paper, I entered an interesting voyage through my family 's history. After consideration and researching my family 's history, I stumbled across a number of shared characteristics of both nature and sympathy. Doing so made unknown information instantly available to my knowledge. I was able to learn about my parents, my parents parents’, and my parents’ parents’ children.

During my research I interviewed my mother. Her name is Yolanda Ford. She was born on December 11, 1970, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She is currently a PreK teacher in Memphis, TN. She completed high school, and later got her master’s in education. She married my father and had me; she is now divorced.

My next interviewee was my father, he was. He was born on October 10th of 1969, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He is married my mom with one child and three by another woman. My mom recently divorced my father earlier this year. My father has a high school GED. Currently he is out of work due to a shoulder injury. He now lives in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Another person that I sat and spoke with is my grandmother, Gwendolyn Gaither. She lives in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on September 2nd of 1956. She was the 9th born onto my great grandmother. My grandmother is currently a special education teacher at Clarksdale High School. She is now married to her second husband, but mothered four children before that. She graduated high school and went on to…
