The company operates its core business via three market segments; Marketplaces,GSI Commerce Inc. and Payments. The analysis and recommendation is done with a consideration of the viability of the business and the online expansion, the current online competitors, Online Marketing Suggestion and Strategies as well as search engine optimization strategies. A1. Viability of the business and the online expansion The viability of eBay Inc. as a business platform is excellent. The viability of any given business is gauged on the basis of key performance indicators. The viability of eBay is attributed to its business model. Teece(2010) noted that a good business model should be viable by being able to generate adequate revenue, have a high customer acquisition as well as retention rates, have an adequate gross margin levels as well as have a favorable operating cash cycle (Mullins,2006). eBay Inc is a viable business platform as noted by its position as an e-business market leader ( Stone,nd)..eBay Inc. has shown excellent financial results coupled with a high customer acquisition as well as retention rates.As long as there are buyers and sellers, eBay will always remain a viable business model.
