a) Ms SQL2014 VS MySQL 5.5
b) Ms SQL2014 vs ORACAL 11.g

Answer: - SQL is known as structured query language to manipulating and accessing database. And it is designed to manage large amount of data of company. It’s manage and make us easy to find any information in less time. SQL was developed by IBM in 1970’s by Donald D. Chamberlin and Raymond F. Boyce. MySQL is an open source relational database management system it is developed under the General Public License (GPL) of SQL. MySQL is the famous choice for web applications. It is written in C and C++. Swedish company was created this MySQL. This server come under two different editions. The open source MySQL community server and the proprietary enterprise server are the 2 different types of MYSQL server. MySQL is the database management system like SQL server, oracle etc.
DATA ACESS TOOLS
Similarities based on data access tools:-
• Both has an integrated SQL debugger to help locate bugs in SQL language stored procedures
• Both are based on graphical user interface (GUI) tools for querying the databased.
• MySQL has only have few dialog boxes but SQL2014 has many dialog boxes which are known as graphical wizards.
Different based on data access tool:-
• We can measure and
The idea of relational database was first introduced by E.F.Codd at IBM in 1970. It is a kind of computer database in which data is stored in Relations and is represented in the form of tables with rows and columns. Databases can vary in sizes, ranging from very small and simple to very large and complex ones. Database users can access the data practically in an unlimited number of ways. Relational databases help in finding the information in a quick and efficient manner that one is looking for.Today many popular databases use the model of relational database.
Oracle provides a flexible RDBMS called Oracle7. Using its features, you can store and manage data with all the advantages of a relational structure plus PL/SQL, an engine that provides you with the ability to store and execute program units. The server offers the options of retrieving data based on optimization techniques. It includes security features that control how a database is accessed and used. Other features include consistency and protection of data through locking mechanisms.
Metadata present a more complete picture of the data in the database than the data itself.
The complexity of natural history collection information and similar information within the scope of biodiversity informatics poses significant challenges for effective long term stewardship of that information in electronic form. This paper discusses the principles of good relational database design, how to apply those principles in the practical implementation of databases, and examines how good database design is essential for long term stewardship of
There are many benefits of using a database over spreadsheets for storing this kind of data. The following is a list of some of these benefits to the sales business and users:
- Structured Query Language (SQL) is an internationally recognized standard language used and understood by all commercial database management systems.
Relational database management system (RDBMS) have used for many decades. However, these databases are facing several challenges with the requirements of many organizations like high scalability and availability. They cannot deal with huge amount of data and requests efficiently. As a result, famous organizations such as Google and Amazon shift from RDBMS to NoSQL databases. NoSQL databases have several features that overcome issues. This paper explains features, principles, and data models of NoSQL databases. However, the main focus of this paper is to compare and evaluate two of the most popular NoSQL databases which are MongoDB and Cassandra.
In this report I am going to explain what a database is, features of a relational database, and the benefits of a relational database, purpose of primary keys and how they are used to build relationships, and I am also going to focus on, what are foreign keys and how they are been used, explain referential integrity and finally, how to apply referential integrity. I am also going to backed up my views and opinions with the valid references.
Relational databases are the most prevalent in today’s database needs for numerous different applications. These databases go by specific rules and adding in a lot of different attributes involves complexity to the system. Especially in the web applications, it gets harder for the relational databases to handle the capacities and possibilities. The web domain thus, becomes the main motivator for NoSQL.
At the U.S. Census Bureau, hundreds, perhaps more than a thousand heterogeneous databases are currently operating. Some divisions have standardized the database technology on Oracle, while others are using a combination of Sybase, MySQL, SQL Server, etc. These Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMSs), supporting many databases and applications and each hosted on dedicated servers, are often under-utilizing the server resources available to them. Such a database infrastructure, therefore, is not cost-, or resource-effective from a maintenance or administrative standpoint. Consequently, the best solution to mitigate these issues involves the implementation of database consolidation technology. Database consolidation is the process of centralizing database resources, so that they are shareable among several databases and instances. In other words, it is the process of consolidating databases from multiple servers onto one or fewer servers. For example, Multitenant Architecture of Oracle 12c moves the database management principle to a completely new level with database consolidation. Consequently, for the U.S. Census Bureau, consolidation initiatives such as the following are beneficial:
This paper will discuss the main difference between the relational database optimized for on line transactions and a data warehouse optimized for processing and summarizing large amounts of data. Next this author will outline the difference database requirements for operational data for decision support data. Next this paper will describe three example in which databases could be used to support decision making in a large organizational environment. Lastly this author will describe three other examples in which data warehoused and data mining could be used to support data processing and trend analysis in a large organizational environment.
This report provides analysis and evaluation of how Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) can be applied to improve organization and business effectiveness. The method of analysis includes basic information of Relational Database Management System and reference of how database management can bring positive improvement on manage small or large amount of information in the organization. Also, include a brief information of business those are successful in their field’s thanks of the application of database system in their organizations and recommendations to apply Relational Database Management System to the company.
This paper will discuss and make comparisons on the markets top Database Management Systems (DBMS) currently available. The paper includes a table for side-by-side comparisons of feature sets and other factors required when making decisions on which DBMS to purchase and implement in a business. While this may not be a complete list of all available DBMS systems it will include important discussions on aspects required when evaluating any major application / system choice.
In Nowadays, there are two major of database management systems which are use to deal with data, the first one called Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) which is the traditional relational databases, it deals with structured data and have been popular since decades since 1970, while the second one called Not only Structure Query Language databases (NoSQL), they are dealing with semi-structured and unstructured data; the NoSQL types are gaining their popularity with the development of the internet and the social media since April 2009. NoSQL are intending to override the cons of RDBMs, such as fixed schemas, JOIN operations and handling the scalability problems. In this paper we will review one of the graph database (Neo4j), which the graph database is part of the emerging technology that is called NoSQL and compared it with one of the traditional relational database (MySQL). MySQL, it is being another name for Relational Databases and it has been used for a long period time until now. However, with the emergence of Big Data there was clearly a need for more flexible databases. Facebook 's Graph Search using Neo4j, a graph database, is an application which clearly displays how relationships need to be modeled in a more efficient and sophisticated manner than using conventional relational models. In this paper, we will make a compare between MySQL and Neo4j based on the features like ACID, replication, availability and the language that is used in both of
A 'Data Search' feature using a Google-type search syntax translated transparently for user to SQL.
