The Difference between 1970 and 2015 Scenario 6: Pedro fails english For thee difference between 1970 and 2015 I picked scenario 6 ; Pedro fails high school english. Because it’s the most outlandish from the others. The difference is to much of a reach. Because if Pedro’s situation was true the would of stop teaching english awhile ago. Personally I’ve never met a person my age that has trouble speaking english they either know the whole language or need help with a couple words here and there. Also if there was a real language gap that kept him from passing english the school would get him extra help. But saying that english is racist as a requirement to graduate is too far. If he didnt know what he was getting into he would have went to
4. Racism, race and ethnicity in contemporary United States have changed a lot in the past few centuries. Our country has had our racism problems but compared to how minorities were treated years ago you can tell that we have came a long way from how people were back then. However there are obviously more gangs and violence associated with race and ethnicity. Years ago the only problem was African Americans and now there are many people hating on each other for being middle eastern, Latino and
In looking at the data from 1980-2012, there is a significant difference between all arrests for drug sale/manufacturing and possession and those who were females that were arrested. It can be seen that female arrests are significantly lower than the overall arrests but have increased throughout the years. From 1980 to 2012, the drug sale/manufacturing and possession arrest rates who were women increased by 198.84%. This is higher than the national increase of all persons arrest during this time which is 93.47%. There seems to be a spike in female arrests in 1988 and a decline between 1989-1991.
The period between 1800 and 1860 was a period of immense change in American history. Was the Market Revolution a net detriment or net benefit to American society? Some have said that it was a net benefit on America, while others believe it was a detriment to society. The Market Revolution had a positive impact on America because it increased employment and workingwomen. These changes made the ordinary American life more prosperous.
The American Founding lasted for 25 years from 1775 - 1800. During that time the United States declared and won its independence, a gradual revolution in the economic, political, and social landscape was begun that was not completed by 1800. There was a nominal change made politically in America between the years 1775 and 1800. In 1791, the Bill of Rights was ratified. These 12 amendments were designed to protect the basic rights of U.S. citizens, ensuring the freedom of speech, press assembly, and exercise of religion...etc.
When you hear people talking about the Great Depression you automatically know what they’re talking about, and all of the things that you learned about that time come to mind. The reason I choose this topic is because, I know a little about it but would like to learn even more about the topic. The things that the people really went through, the struggle, pain, etc. During my research, I will look into these topics of the era to have a better understanding and then maybe compare it to modern time today.
In my opinion the 1980's was one of the significant event in the 20th century that created the impetus for healthcare organizations to begin to adopt information systems. Although the use of health care information systems in the 1970s could be considered an extension of the applications used in the 1960s with a slight increase in the use of clinical applications, the 1980s saw an entirely different story. Sweeping changes in how Medicare reimbursed hospitals and others for services, coupled with the advent of the microcomputer, radically changed how health care information systems were viewed and used. In 1982, Medicare shifted from a cost-based reimbursement system for hospitals to a prospective payment system based on diagnosis related groups

Between the years 1100 and 1350, many crucial social, political, and economic changes and continuities can be observed in Asia and particularly in Yuan China. At the beginning of this time period, the Mongols were a group of pastoral nomads in modern-day Mongolia who practiced a shamanistic religion. During this time, the Silk Road was extremely dangerous, and traders on the Silk Road were often endangered by the threat of bandits. During the course of this time period, the Mongols eventually conquered and united China. After they had done so, many of the Mongols adopted Buddhist beliefs. As the Mongols expanded their empire, they were able to secure the Silk Road and drastically reduce the amount of robbery and theft that took place on the trade route. One major continuity during Mongol rule of China was the inclusion of some Confucians in the government. Another aspect of Yuan China that remained consistent throughout this period was the separation of Mongol and Chinese cultures, shown by the fact that the Chinese were not allowed to marry Mongolian women or learn the Mongol language.
The differences between November 22, 1963 and today are so vast that it would be hard to function if we were to be transported back in time. When President Kennedy was assassinated, news spreading across the country was probably quick for that time but very slow for our time. In 1963, the news would have been spread through the telephone to news outlets that then spread the news through the radio. Those that heard the news would then have spread the news through word of mouth. The next day, all major newspapers had it plastered on the front page and that is where the masses learned all of the details. From the time of the assassination to the time most people learned about it took about a day. Those in more rural locations who were not

In the duration of this English class we have read multiple essays. The essays include a short story, “Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros whose main idea is that there is not a correlation between age and emotional evolution. “College Pressures” by William Zinsser argues that college students are under excessive stress to plan their future and succeed. The narrative, “Mother Tongue”, by Amy Tan focuses on the variants in the universal English dialect which is based on one’s background. “Indian Education” by Sherman Alexies main purpose is to help readers understand the immense impact racism has on Native Americans. Each story had a different purpose but the common theme the essays shared was an educational setting.
Math has changed quite a bit in past several decades, more so than stayed the same. Some things that have changed include math strategies, jobs, prices, and entertainment. For example, my grandma told me back in the day there were no calculators or other devices to help you solve difficult math problems. She said you had to do everything on paper and pencil while showing your work. When you were done, you would hand in your paper to the teacher. Here are some other ways math has changed from the 50’s and 60’s.
