Today, many Americans are not doing a great job taking care of themselves and their well-being. As a result, the rates of obesity of many Americans continues to increase. Many are suffering from diseases that not only is affecting their health but also their lifestyle. Many believe that by consuming a healthier vegetarian diet not only will it help individuals maintain a healthier body but by reducing the amount of foods that contain fertilizers can protect the planet from further damage to the environment.

Americans should never go vegetarian/vegan. It is very bad for people and it can cause a lot of problems. It does not give people all the things you need. Meat give people more calories and nutrients, and people could be in big great danger if they are a vegetarian/vegan.

Despite the fact that less than half of the population in the United States is reported to be vegan there is no denying that it is a growing dietary trend. Whether or not people are becoming vegan or vegetarian due to reading books like Singer and Mason’s, The Ethics of What We Eat, or watching documentaries similar to Food Inc. there is a revolution happening in the way that people are thinking about their food consumption practices. The media allows one to observe the shortcomings of the agricultural industry and create their own ideas based on what was perceived.
