In Flannery O’ Connor horror short story, “A Good Man is Hard to Find” the tone instantly came to me as terrorized and horrific. In this story it deals with good and bad people and how it was hard to find good people to trust. The theme for me was, “good vs. evil” and this was because the grandmother told the “Misfit’ he has a sense of goodness when he actually had nothing in him, but evil and no remorse. “I know you’re a good man. You don’t look a bit like you have Com-mon blood. I know you must come from nice people!” The Misfit then went off about how his parents were the most perfect people there ever was. He showed no guilt of what he was doing and thought he wasn’t doing any harm. The emotional elements help tie the plot together
