Chetan Bhagat is an Indian author, columnist, screenwriter, television personality and motivational speaker who is known for his English language novelist in Indian History. He belongs from a middle class family born on 22 April 1974, New Delhi India. Basically his ethnicity is Panjabi who completed his schooling from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan and got his Mechanical Engineering Degree form Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi). Among his famous notable works “Two States” The story of My Marriage is one of them which is his fourth novel. Besides this he also wrote Five Point Someone, One night at call Centre, Half Girlfriend, and The Three Mistakes of My Life are among his famous notable work. (Templateism) Two States: “The Story of My Marriage” which is commonly known as “2 States” in the general public is a novel published in 2009. This story is based on Bhagat’s own life story about couple coming from two different states in India who faces different problems in getting married form their family members. It relates from persuading their parents to the approval of marriage. He wrote this novel after quitting his job as a bank employee. (Iyer) The story is based on a couple, Krish and Ananya, who belongs form two different states of India, Punjab and Tamil Nadu respectively who are in love and wants to get married. The adventure of the story begins at the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) where Krish loves and loses the professor’s daughter.
