In the 1980s, Garry Smith established SNY Pty Ltd in Campbeltown as an oil and lubricants local company (Sheridan, 2015). Based on efficient products and excellent sales and after sales services, SNY has experienced a considerable growth in local market until it struggled with challenges derived from transitioning to International Corporation when it was sold to the incumbent general manager Juliette Livingstone (Sheridan, 2015). The purpose of this essay is to briefly demonstrate variety of complications that SNY will face as a result of its management. It will go through human resource management’s approach, organisational diversity and largely focus on the issues of managing organisational change. Also, the solutions for these challenges are based on academic literature. Finally, conclude the theory that there is not one best way to manage (Clegg et al. 2011).
Globalisation has been defined as “the processes rendering the world as a whole as a single place” (Robertson, 1990, p.19). With three main developments included trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) and the international transfer of knowledge and technology, it promotes the increase of Multinational Corporation (MNC), especially in US, East and South-East Asian and Western European (Kleinert, 2011). MNCs can be seen as the dominators of world trade as a consequence of sufficient global resources and operations (Clegg et al. 2011).
