Harrisburg University of Science and Technology located at 326 Market Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17101 is a growing major educational hub which is attracting more students and faculty per every passing year. As a result of which, there is a growing need to accommodate all the vehicles and cars that the students and faculty uses to get to the University. The current location of the university is right in the middle of Downtown Harrisburg and therefore the constraints on the parking situation are pretty stringent.
Harrisburg University, apart from regular day-to-day classes, also holds executive classes for online students thereby keeping the number of attendees to the school equally high even on the select weekends. As of January 11, 2016, the University had 400 undergraduate, 2600 graduate students and 150 full and part-time faculty and staff.  The University only has one (1) 16-story academic building and the Harrisburg Parking Authority operates a garage within the same building. This garage, opened in 2005, is a 9-floor parking sandwiched in the 16-story are hidden from the view so that the building has more of a presence in the Downtown area . Apart from this allotted parking, Street Parking may be available and is free on the Weekends and after 5:00 PM on Weekdays.
