Linda M. Hasselstrom wrote the statement “I am a peace-loving woman”; followed by “I’m safer when I carry a pistol.” Linda is one of many Americans, which shares the same feeling of firearm security. Linda writes eloquently in regards to emotions that go with and without carrying a firearm. Fear is a terrible feeling. Along with fear comes the feeling of helplessness. While camping, Linda was traveling with a friend. There were other people in the park,yet she feared for her safety. Fear can happen in plain sight or in a crowd. There were two events on Linda’s property where she feared for her safety. Even being at home she shows that she is not safe.
