Jay-Z describes his life through his music by making his own rhythm, lyrics, beat and flow because he wants people to understand his story and to be aware of the struggles that most people have to face since they don’t have the voice to speak through. The struggles problems that people face can help themo shape who they becomethe person that someone becomes because it provides new experience and knowledge for them person to grow from. People should be open to new possibilities in life or else they can never develop into becoming a better version of themselves because new experiences allows themus to evaluate theirour choices and prove to people
Looking back at mistakes everyone around the world has made, it is easy to assume people will never make the same mistakes again. An example an a small scale would be something as simple as a bad math grade. Anyone might try to improve their grade by practicing more and making corrections to the steps they messed up on. In the book Animal Farm by George Orwell, the animals overthrow the farmer Mr. Jones. By the end, all of the animals were under the control of the boar Napoleon. Many things went wrong along the way, and only some of the time the animals reflected and learned from the mistakes they made. An understanding of the past is essential in order to adequately guard against future mistakes.

He respects to the old generation artists and the freedom of music creation, so he decides to be an independent musician and make this song to tell people that he won’t join any record label.
The Black Power Mixtape follows momentous events between 1965 and 1975. It is directed by two Swedish directors, and their nationality is very important for the layout of the film. The film takes place during the Civil Rights Movement, and included leaders such as Stokely Carmichael, Angela Davis, Malcolm X, and Medgar Evers. This was also during the time of the Vietnam War, whom Sweden saw a useless war. The heads of this country were the Nixon Administration, and Lyndon Johnson’s administration.
Jay-Z’s “December 4th” was the first song on his Black Album, which was released in 2003, during one of the many peaks in the rapper’s career. The song includes his mother talking about his childhood in-between verses and is a very autobiographical song in the sense that he talks about his life up until he formed the persona that is Jay-Z. Although “December 4th” is thought to have been about the rappers’s presumed retirement, the song does not allude to an end to his rap career, instead, the “December 4th” is about the artist 's transition from Shawn Carter to Jay-Z. He tells the story, not of the end, but of the beginning of Jay-Z and he does this by separating himself from his former self, Shawn Carter; examining the importance that Carter played in the story of how Jay-Z was born and continues to live. This song is very indicative of a speaker who is narrating and advising his former self and showing the importance of accepting and how one came to be.
He then so confidently raps how as long as Jay is a billionaire he'd never go broke. Kanye always speaks of Jay with such high praise, as Jay returns it from a distance. Kanye has always been the person to wear his emotions on his sleeves, as we've seen with George Bush and Taylor Swift. Jay moves like the coolest guy on the planet as everything seems calculated and premeditated. He was involved in a UFC fight in a elevator, and walked out like nothing happened.
Originally from Marcy Houses housing project in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City,[9] Jay-Z was abandoned by his father Adnes Reeves and shot his brother in the shoulder for stealing his jewelry[10] when he was twelve years old.[11] Jay-Z attended Eli Whitney High School in Brooklyn, along with rapper AZ, until it was closed down. After that he attended George Westinghouse Information Technology High School in Downtown Brooklyn, with fellow rappers The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes, and Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, but did not graduate.[12] He claims to have been caught up in selling drugs, to which he refers in his music.[11]
In this article titled “worst beef ever; Jay Z vs Harry Belafonte” Harry Belafonte found a way of criticizing Jay Z and Beyoncé by accusing both of turning their back on the responsibility of the black societies. He critically, accused the black celebrity pair that they have done nothing enough for the minorities in which I do have a concern about.

Kanye West has proven himself over time that he is much more than just a producer. With each new album he releases, he constantly pushes the boundaries of music influencing artist across all genres. Kanye has an ever evolving sound that changes almost year to year. Kanye West’s Yeezus album is an album that takes a much darker and more minimalist turn in his discography. This approach to music makes Yeezus a much harder album to listen through because it is not filled with nice, polished sounds. Having the album made this way makes us look over what the message of a song and the album are. Among many rough songs one the most popular on the album was Blood on the Leaves. Blood on the Leaves samples from another song called Strange Fruit sung by Nina Simone which is a very political song talking about gruesome lynchings that happened before and at the turn of the century. With help from the sample, West uses the pain of lynching and drug abuse to compare with the break ups he goes through.
The song The Originators by The Jaz featuring Jay-Z is a very smart song that succeeds in having a commercial feel and surface appearance, but is also able to comment on very serious themes, that can often appear in hip-hop music. Although this song may seem very ordinary with its braggadocios rhymes typical of the era, through its use of language it almost inconspicuously continues the theme of black empowerment seen in many other songs, and serves as a black power anthem. It comments on and seeks to refute the idea that black people lack history, or intelligence in the history that exists, and comments on the almost eternal struggle between black and white people. A common theme in hip hop music is the effort to eliminate the idea that Black
Someone's past can really affect a person in many ways. The past can make the person that they are right now, and they can change through experiences, decisions, and personal thoughts. People tend to learn from their personal experiences and they learn from them so they don't make the same mistake in the future.
Since the dawn of man, the past has played some part in one’s future. Not all memories and experiences in the past are good, some bring deep depression, others violent thoughts and behavior, whatever the case maybe, the past has potential to alter who a person becomes. A person should not let their actions and experiences in the past shape your future, because if one is focused on their past, they cannot develop their true potential in life.
In “Alright” Kendrick Lamar is speaking to the public about police brutality, or is he sending a deeper message to the people of minority. Kendrick Lamar released the song titled “Alright” in 2015. Upon release the song instantly blew up. It 's catchy and even though people got tongue tied trying to recite the song everyone knew the hook of the song which stated “We gon be alright do you hear me do you feel me we gon be alright.” I wonder did anyone catch the poetic verses Kendrick was saying before the hook. By simply watching the video you instantly think oh police brutality but I recieved a deeper message. I believe Kendrick wanted the song to inform the public about the brutality that seemed to be continuous at the time; and offer a bit of hope to those who didn’t feel there was any. That’s why the song was so famous, Kendrick performed this song on numerous award shows and talk shows because the people needed to hear it. Though some believe the song is in protest against cops or sending a bad message others believe it is an anthem for african americans.
Side Note: This song written by Jay Z was released a couple months ago, so there is no album out yet. I read in an article that the album would be release next summer. So I just chose a picture from his other albums.
