The song that I chose to write about is “Now that we’re men” by Spongebob sSuarepants, The main topic in this song is that two young males have taken on a big challenge to prove that they are good enough to be called men. In this song Spongebob and Patrick are both going after the crown that Plankton stole from King Neptune. A few of the best quotes in the song are; “Get the crown save the town, and Mr.Krabs”, “ we’re tough enough to save the day now that we’re men, “they’ll pass the test and finish the quest for the crown”. The first quote is powerful because it shows how much them stepping up is meaning to the whole town and Mr.Krabs. The second quote is very meaningful because it is telling the listeners that once you become a man there
Have you ever read a book and thought that there is a song that will fit in well with a scene in the book? In the book Anthem by Ayn Rand, there are two main characters Equality 7-2521 and Liberty 5-3000. These characters live in a society where the government chooses everything's for them. It is to the point that they can’t even talk about themselves. They have to talk a collective group like we instead of I. Equality found a tunnel that led him to find the light bulb. This light bulb led him into some trouble, and he discovered that there is a lot hidden from the people. He tried to show off this discovery to the supposed scholars who are the smartest people. They denied him; this caused him to run away into the woods. Liberty followed him
1. “Like a Rock” by Bob Seger, which is an inspirational song that talks about a middle-aged man who encounters frustration in his aging problem. Also, he reminded back to his youth life to reflect memories and compare with now differences. There a lot of shots to focus on the men’s emotion and react; for example, he is smoking and playing the guitar. Around twenty years later, he has got a lot of things, but he still cannot find his own feeling when he was young, such as passion in playing music, rock. Finally, he knows that it cannot change anything and it should have a position to face challenges in his beginning life. In this song recommend many times “like a rock” that means no matter now who you are, people have their own opportunities
For my song analysis I chose a piece for a musical which is called Next to Normal. The song in the musical is called Superboy and the Invisible Girl. The musical features an average American family trying to hold itself together. The dad goes to work, the daughter, Natalie is a genius, but the mother, Diana, struggles with bipolar disorder and hallucinations. Their son Gabe, died as an infant, but the mother has been hallucinating him, growing up with the rest of the family as if he never died. So Gabe, in a strange way, is actually one of the main characters. This is a key song in the storyline because it is the first time that Natalie attempts to express her true feelings.
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arrive, you were only waiting for this moment to be free" - The Beatles
“It's kind of fun to do the impossible” is a quote by walt disney. I believe that anyone can achieve the impossible just by working hard. This leads into the song I chose “Hall of Fame”by the script, the theme of this song is encouraging yourself to do the impossible, will eventually lead you to the hall of fame. First, one of the verses says “you can move a mountain, you can break rocks, you can be the master don't wait for luck, dedicate yourself and you will find yourself standing in the hall of fame.” This tells us that as long as you believe in yourself you can achieve your goals. For me achieving, has always been one of my biggest goals, whether that be in academics or sports. But I have had people tell that I am not smart enough to get
In the generation that we live in today, everyone has gone through some hardships that they had or are going through. To get through those hardships, that certain individual may need that one song that will lift their spirits and give them the right motivation to prosper. In class we can discuss two poems in particular, “I Too, Sing America” written by famous poet Langston Hughes and “We Wear the Mask” written by Paul Laurence Dunbar. The similarities between the two brings the upmost feeling of hope and that at the end of every tunnel there is light, therefore; there is no need to give up. To correctly compare the two, the song “Just Stand Up” sang by multiple well-known female artists.
¨Bright SIde¨ by Mike Stud is a song about his fame. The theme of this song is, work your hardest and you will succeed¨Cause me and all my guys just look at the bright side, If you're not in the right mind, then it ain't the right time¨(Mike Stud). This quote means that him and his crew work hard and look at the good things, if you don't have the right mindset then don't join them. ¨Better watch your bae like Hasselhoff¨(Mike Stud). This lyric is an example of a simile and it relates to my theme because he worked hard and he can get any girl. ¨Views keep on climbing the more that they play us¨(Mike Stud). This line is an example of personification. This relates to my theme because his group is working hard and it's paying off with more
Grabber - “Thin Between Love and Hate” is a popular 1970’s song that highlights the possibility of caring for someone one minute and suddenly disliking them the next minute because of an intense situation. Neutral Bridge - This song relates to enjoyment and stupidity in life because a person can have the tendency to want to have fun but end up taking imprudent and hazardous steps in order to fulfill their amusement. Specific Bridge - Death of an Innocent written by Jon Krakauer features the unpredictable events that result from the radical acts of an individual named Chris McCandless. Thesis - Chris McCandless’ wilderness expeditions transfigured him into an imbecile because he demonstrated signs of being overconfident, negligent, and stubborn.
I chose the song, "Remember Pearl Harbor," for a few reasons. First, I listened to each song and researched each song 's history. In doing so, I was left dumb-struck at my true ignorance as to what had transpired that fateful day, the days that led up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and the days that followed. Secondly, the relevance of the song, “Remember Pearl Harbor,” grabbed my attention; not only did to the historical value within the song touch me, but the era always proved to be an fascinating piece. The farther I delved into the answers for the paper, the more I was enthralled by the complexities and, had the planned attack been seen through to the end, what could have actually transpired.
“Hall of Fame” by Script and “Home” by Dierks Bentley are two inspirational songs that will be focusing on two main points, courage and the strength to succeed in life. People around the world listen to music to relax and calm their minds, inspire their lives everyday, and give them hope. Music can change the way people feel and think emotionally about a friend or a family member. American’s and everyone around the world are not focusing on the big picture, they are too worried about how people are going crazy and the bad side of the world. They need to focus on how they can fix the problem and lead the world. People that sacrifice themselves across the world and fighting in Syria or any other country will always be “home” in our hearts
In a world that is this challenging, one must have many characteristics and values. Some are truly significant and crucial, such as being a positive role model for a child, not living with regrets and seeing the good in a person. As a person I believe in many things like having joy, being positive and encouraging, and having goals. I try to stay positive, so that I eventually reach my goals and being able to live my dream. Because of my belief in staying positive and being a good role model, the song “Watching You” by Rodney Atkins reflects this belief.
In class we have been watching the movie called the The Breakfast Club. I think I relate to Allison because she is quiet and shy at first. She doesn't very talk to anyone at first but then she starts to talk to the other students. Then she begins to talk and gets some attitude and starts to talk. I feel that I’m relate to her because I’m always shy and quiet when you first meet me and when I'm in new place with other people I don't know or people I don't talk to at all. I could probably see myself, a friend or someone at Harrisburg High School be this person. It probably wouldn’t be me because I’m not that shy and quiet, but I It could maybe be one of my friends but I don’t know which one would be her. With the whole school I could see at
Project #1 Song Analysis In the song,”The Man in the Mirror”, performed by The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, figurative language can be identified. The song is about Michael Jackson trying to change himself, and change the world. Jackson reveals in his song that people take care just for themselves, and do not look at the people that need help. He encourages their audience to go out, and make a change in the society.
From a pineapple under the sea to the bright lights of the Broadway stage: Spongebob Squarepants is really going places.
I’ve heard thousands of song that people published. Some are good, some are not so good. Every once in a while, there are songs that gives me a spark of feeling. “This City” by Patrick Stump and “Sleepwalking” by The Chain Gang of 1974 are one of them. The song “This City”, sings about how Patrick loves his city and that he would stay there for life. The song “Sleepwalking” sings about a man who got his heart broke and he thinks it’s all a dream. “This City” reminds me of a time I moved to a different state and “Sleepwalking” reminds me of a time I got my heart broken.
