For example the situation Eleanor is in, a child and her siblings living in an unhealthy, dangerous environment. This sadly is a situation so many children in america are living in right now, almost one in every hundred children are being abused right now in the united states. By Rowell having the main character Eleanor in this situation she can add details and show people how bad kids lives are in their own homes, she can show people how badly these situations need to change. Another example is bullying, throughout Eleanors time at her new school she is bullied by a friend or rather Park’s ex- childhood grilfriend, Tina. Eleanor is continuously harassed this girl from calling her names and dirting looks on the bus to taking Eleanors clothes after gym so Eleanor has no clothes to change into. Eleanor has to live with this as most children have to because she no one to help her. Luckily I have never been in Eleanor shoes as over the years bullying at least at the schools I have been at there has been little to no bullying . Yet for many kids they aren’t so lucky. Some kids are bullied so much they become depressed, and bullying has been a major cause of suicides. It is something that needs to stop not only for children and teens safety but adults too. The author, Rainbow Rowell’s insightfulness of teenage lives is
Romeo and Juliet is one of the most tragic and depressing stories ever told. If you take the story from a different perspective and really think through some of the choices that were made leading up to their death you would see that Romeo and Juliet made some foolish decisions that caused their deaths. Foolishness is at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet because he went to the Capulet party and kissed Juliet, after the party he went to Juliet’s balcony and talked to her until the morning, and he also took Juliet’s virginity.
Tragic accidents occurred in a world where two young teenagers met and fell in love. Many viewers have seen the story of Romeo and Juliet and numerous people have heard of it. Most of them do not know that the love story of Romeo and Juliet is very tragic and disastrous. Juliet’s parents are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because they were unconcerned, controlling, and resenting of Juliet.
As a result of discovery, individuals are opened to the opportunity to transform and in doing so, renew perceptions of themselves and those around them. In having renewed perceptions, individuals are automatically exposed to new experiences and perspectives, and as a result undergo personal growth. Change is an aspect of discovery that is enabled by past experiences and in this, transformation is achieved. Through Jane Harrison’s Rainbow’s End, a 1950’s play about three generations of an Aboriginal family, and Gwen Harwood’s Father and Child, a poem exploring the transformation of a child we are able to explore the way change is inflicted through experiences of discovery and the responses we find as a result of this. Because of Romeo and Juliet’s hast to be together, their lives end in tragedy. Romeo and Juliet’s immaturity regarding
Romeo and Juliet suffered tragic and untimely deaths, far to early in their lives. In the story of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet fall in love with each other upon first sight. As the story goes on, they try harder, and harder to be with each other. With a long-standing family feud, they both end up suffering terrible deaths. Although Romeo and Juliet were directly responsible for their own deaths, fate and family feud are the actual reason they died.
In conclusion Romeo and Juliet had many things against their love in Shakespeare’s tragic play, but the three main characters to blame for what happened to them are the Feud, Lady Capulet, and Fate. All of these characters in some way pressured Romeo and Juliet to make the harsh choice of killing themselves. In the main characters eyes the choices that these three other characters made in the play gave them only one choice or they would have to live the rest of their lives forever unhappy without the comfort of each
When most people hear the names Romeo and Juliet, they usually think about a romantic story between two lovers. Yes, it is a story about two lovers, but it is not romantic considering that almost all the characters die, including Romeo and Juliet. Actually, this play, Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is considered a tragedy because of all the deaths that take place throughout the story. These two star-crossed lovers are to blame for the deaths, but not in the way someone might suspect. Although some people believe that love or lust killed all the characters in Romeo and Juliet, the real fault comes from the brains of Romeo and Juliet, which were undeveloped and prone to making bad decisions and taking
Romeo and Juliet explores the tragic outcome of ‘true love’. In Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters (Romeo and Juliet) die because of their love for each other. What happens in Romeo and Juliet is that Juliet is meant to marry Paris but she doesn’t want to so she drinks a poison that is meant to show all of the signs of death for a certain amount of time and then she would
Going back to this certain person, they may ask, “Why ‘Romeo and Juliet’? It’s only a story about two teenagers who fall in love than kill themselves since they can't have each other.” Well it isn’t. “Romeo and Juliet” is more than that. Reading the text, seeing if Romeo loves Juliet is no question, as well as if the Capulets hate the Montagues. However the ending shows the true
In Romeo and Juliet, adversity plays a large role in keeping the two star-crossed lovers apart, and after a short taboo romance, it is evident that their story ends in tragedy. The feud between their two families, both fate and destiny, encouragement from non-family members, and the deaths of the young couple, ultimately make this love story a tragedy.
Juliet then awakens and finds Romeo dead then kills herself. In the end there is blood on someone’s hands and there are many characters you could place the blame to. I believe the Capulets and the Montagues are the main reason for the death of Romeo and Juliet. If there were no conflict between the two’s families there would have been no reason to be secretive about their love. The families put so much dirt on the other families name the kids knew their love would not be acceptable. At the age both they were at a family support system is crucial. With Juliet being only 13 she was still learning about everything there was to know about life and so it’s understandable why she felt she needed to keep her love
Romeo’s actions are the chief reason that lead to the tragic end of Romeo and Juliet. His egotistical behavior provokes actions that directly correlate to the tragic conclusion. When we first witness Romeo, he is madly in love with Rosaline, but “Out of her favor, where I am in love.” This overzealous
Shakespeare manifests the final scene of Romeo and Juliet to illustrate how love triumphs over the terror of death and depicts how the Capulet and Montague parents’ mutual love for their children dismisses the ancient feud. The protagonists, Romeo and Juliet’s preference of being killed rather than “death be prorogued, wanting thy love” (Page 91; Act 2, Scene 2), indicates they would rather die than death be delayed without the fulfilment of each other’s love. Romeo commits suicide as he is unaware that Juliet’s death is fiction, which results in Juliet finding his corpse when she awakens and stabs herself as they both do not wish to live with the absence of each other’s love. Again, Shakespeare portrays that love conquers the most feared prospect of life:
Does Romeo and Juliet always have to end in such a tragic way? Romeo and Juliet is a story about Romeo, who in grief of his last love, falls in love with the beautiful Juliet from the house of his family’s enemy. Romeo and Juliet have to stay strong to keep their love from causing chaos in the city of Verona. At the end of the story many people have died including Romeo and Juliet. But with a little bit of imagination the story could end in a whole different mood. In a different reality, Romeo and Juliet can have a somewhat happy ending.
In the end everyone had something to do with their deaths big or small one event lead to the other and caused the tragic ending. The whole story could lead back to the ancient feud, but in the end it could have been prevented. They died because of many things and it would be difficult to pinpoint one single event, no one person could have prevented the entire ending, but it didn’t have to end the way it did. Romeo and Juliet are two young teens who wanted only one thing, to be together peacefully;
