“With rebellion, awareness is born,” quoted by Albert Camus. An act of rebellion can cause awareness and open people's eyes to horrendous acts. In the book Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury, when Montag realizes that the government wasn’t being fair, he decided he needed to make the society aware. Montag knew a rebellion was the only way to show that the government was not treating citizens right. It is acceptable to rebel when it is believed that the government is being unfair to their citizens because citizens should have the right to freely speak their opinions. People shouldn’t be told what they can or can’t-do for pleasure and they should be able to express their uniqueness.
Rebelling is acceptable if the government is

People should be allowed to stand up for what they think is right and be listened to, not burned. “We burned a thousand books. We burned a woman.”(47) Firemen had burned thousands of books. A woman just wanted to show that books aren't a terrible concept and she should be able to read them. Consequently, she was burned with the books because she stood up for she believed was pleasurable and fought for her rights for freedom of speech. If the government is being unfair, then it is ok to rebel because citizens shouldn’t be told what they can or can't-do for pleasure. Many people enjoy reading books for contentment and take joy in reading more about history to inform themselves. The government took this hobby away from everyone, not even giving people a chance to appreciate books anymore because they were afraid they would get caught. “We read the books and burnt them, afraid they’d be found.” (145) Montag and the other rebels loved to read but didn’t get the chance to take their time to actually adore the books because they were afraid they would be found and never be able to read again. The government took away this pleasure because they decided it wasn’t “fun” enough. Nevertheless, This is why Montag and the other few brave men had been compelled to rebel because they didn’t want their government to tell them what they can or cannot enjoy. It is extremely unfair for the government to take away their property because they don’t like what some
If we all built a cabin in the woods and gave up on materialism, the world could possibly be a very droll (albeit unpolluted) place for people. Not everyone needs to rebel to think that their life is extraordinary, but if someone were to rebel against society, it should be of their own thinking and they should accept the consequences that come with the boons of societal rebellion. Societal rebellion is good in small doses, but I disagree with the idea that everyone needs to take part in everyone's rebellions.
Rebellion can be necessary if there is a situation going on that contradicts with a person’s opinion. Using rebellion could also apply if a certain rule is making the environment dangerous. It can impact and change a certain area and make it a better place for durability.
This is similar to the limits of “Practice not-doing, and everything will fall into place. (Lao-Tzu, verse 3)” If people do not rebel towards the government, this can be taken as an act of respect and agreement for how the government functions, which means that these unjust actions are in favor among the people.
It is acceptable to rebel when society is corrupt because technology is taking over life. Technology has overpowered many aspects of life but could you imagine just by a drop of chemicals you could control what is supposed to be an animal. “ All of those chemical balances and percentages on all of us here in the house are recorded in the master file downstairs. It would be easy for someone to set up a partial combination on the hounds ‘memory’, a touch of amino acids perhaps. That would accout foe what theaniaml did just now. React to me.” Page ?? Animals controlled by the drop of a chemical, well there not even animals anymore because technology has overruled that part of life now too. Imagine instead of going to the beach you can just ask your t.v and you will be there within seconds, but is it actually experiencing things if u just stay in the comfort of your home? “ Thank god for that. You can shut them, say, “Hold on a moment”. You play god to it. But who has ever torn himself from the claw that encloses you when you drop a seed in a TV parlor? It grows you any shape
Rebellion can be many things from a thrilling journey to a death wish. It can hide itself in many situations. Rebellion can also bring itself out whether to fight against social conformity, overthrowing an authoritarian government, or even going after a self-interest. When rebellion does show itself, the consequences that come with it are unpredictable. Rebellion is a risk that can lead to a great adventure, or it can ruin your life.
Societies were first formed to create unity and order, and while some freedom must be sacrificed in order for society to function, people should not have to give up their basic human rights. There are clear instances in which disobedience has a negative connotation. A child not listening to their parent’s bed time is certainly not classified as a hero like Martin Luther King Jr. Juvenile rebellion is what people typically view as disobedience. Laws function to maintain order in society. Without a set of rules, the world would be chaotic. But it is the citizen's’ job to recognize when a rule is unjust. There is a distinct difference between rebellion and rebellion with a moral cause. For instance, violating traffic laws does nothing to enact social reforms; it is an act of self interest and can result in serious harm. On the other hand, calling into question a serious social issue, like segregation, could bring change to an immoral law. So, while cases of self-serving disobedience are fruitless excuses to violate the law, rebellion can be a crucial tool used to enact social reforms. Although order is necessary for society to function, there are instances when laws are unfair and must be changed for the good of the
The issue of rebellion is that there are only two outcomes. Its eithers getting good out of it or there is going to be pain and suffering for whoever did rebel. Three women named Cairo, Lolita, and Persepolis. They each had rebellion in the stories that the author themselves wrote describing their point of view of things that was happening to Muslim women. Is rebellion worth it unless you succeed.
When do people have the right to revolt against the government? People have the right to revolt against the government when basic human rights are violated and unprotected. An example of this would be when King George III refused to sign the Olive Branch Petition that stated that the Thirteen Colonies and its people would have the same basic human rights as the people of Great Britain. This is only one example during the American Revolution that Great Britain violated the colonists’ rights.
Throughout the years, society’s way of rebelling has changed. Rebellion went from being quiet and subtle, not really talked about, to something loud and obscene. However, even the way society has viewed rebellion has changed. It used to be ignored but quickly grew to be detested as people became more obnoxious, but in recent years, rebellion has become popular and respected.
Frederick Douglas once said, “The thing worse than rebellion is the thing that causes the rebellion.” A statement that truly embodies the right to rebelling. In order for it to be right and ethical for one to rebel, the thing which one is rebelling against must be truly awful. As christians, it is easy and common to believe that rebellion is a sin or immoral. But the reality is that rebellion can be just and merited for christians when the thing they are rebelling against is corrupt or immoral. It is accurate to say that for christians there may be times when it is not only right, but required for us to rebel.
Have you ever thought about rebellion? Have you ever done one before? If so, did it succeed? Here are three authors' views on rebellion.
Rebellion is the act of refusing to listen or follow authority. There are several costs and benefits of conformity and rebellion. The market economy poem and two kind poem points out many of these examples. However living a life as a conformist, rather than a rebellion would be a safe decision. If one is a conformist should they continue living that way or change to be a rebel? This would reflect on whether or not one should go along with the flow or rebel against it. When one chooses to be a rebel in life they are taking a risk. Many people do not think about the consequences as the result of some of their life
We've all thought about rebelling or disobeying at least once throughout our lives. It's just how we as humans work. If we see something we don't believe in; we will stand up for it. Irish Oscar Wilde had said the reason we've made progress was and is because we have rebelled. I agree with his statement, because if not for rebellion or disobedience, the United States of America would’ve never became a nation. People wouldn’t be free of past government laws. Women wouldn't have the rights they have today without some sort of action. Although we have the right of free speech today, before it wasn’t considered a right of the people. It was an act of rebellion against the government.
The idea of a rebellion was treated by the authors in a way where people are not equal. In one of the passages its women that are not equal because they don’t have freedom like men do. Another passage is where a group of people are seeking rebellion for running their president out of power. A rebellion is where you act of violent or open resistance to an establishment government or rule. Also, when you take the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention.
It was a heated, pleasant sunny day in April and I was getting ready to go out, nevertheless, I remembered that I previously turned the tv off I saw the weather report. It claimed that it was going to rain at 3:00 pm so consequently, I brought a raincoat. When my family and I left at 2:00 pm it commenced to drizzle and when we were 10 minutes from where we were supposed to be it commenced to rain heavily and consequently there was much more traffic. We were 20 minutes late and we had to run into the restaurant because the rain got even worse but I was the only person who had a raincoat on. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray bradbury the theme is that knowledge can prepare us for the future, just like in the story. In Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag, who was unknown about his job as a fireman was dishonorable until Clarisse McClellan his new neighbor was expressing about it which makes him curious, but nonetheless he brought it up to one of his coworkers Captain Beatty, she absolutely utterly disagreed with what he had to contribute. Consequently, Montag started collecting books from where he put out fires because he was curious and started to tell his wife about it as well because he wanted to know more about his job and how it doesn’t benefit the people that he helps. Captain Beatty found out about what he was doing and got enraged, so she wanted to burn his house down and get him arrested. He then killed Beatty and ran to his friend Faber for help about what Guy Montag had just finished.
