Sabrina Corgatelli is a huntress who is now being criticized on social media for all the animals she has killed during her hunts in South Africa. Not only did she kill these animals, but also made comments such as "A feeling I will never forget," which made people furious, believing that Sabrina enjoyed harming these creatures. Trying to make up for what she had said, she quoted verses from the book of Genesis and also stated, "But giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously, very quickly," trying to make what she did sound okay. Though what she did was legal, I

Belonging to a certain group is a natural experience in the lives of individuals. Groups are categorizable by a variety of options but often expel a trait that epitomizes each individual within the group such as rank, societal merit, or simply just appearance. Behaviorism gratifies purpose within cohort mentality among those in an association due to the psychological commonalities that bring these groups together. When it comes to an individual's development within a certain group, joint mentality helps create a safe environment but often times supports ideologies of self empowerment. Anthropologist Karen Ho composes the analysis of students whom graduate Ivy League universities and enter into financial professions, in her essay “Biographies
In article 8, Michael Parenti challenges the view that the mainstream media in the United States is free, independent, neutral and objective. Parenti claims that the media “often behaves like the lapdogs of Plutocracy”. Plutocracy is a government that is basically controlled and ruled by the wealthy in that country. Essentially what this means is that the media is run by these giant wealthy corporations and instead of media doing its job, and informing the general public, instead it only says what these corporations want them to say. Hard hitting news that shines a negative light on these wealthy groups is banned because it makes them look bad. One of the best pieces of evidence he offers is the slew of reporters that have been fired or forced

I found an extremely inspiring article that discusses a young woman from Long Island, New York, who received acceptance correspondences from all eight Ivy League schools as well as several others. Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, 18 has excelled in her academics throughout her childhood and adolescence. Her parents stressed the importance of education to her throughout her childhood since they were both college educated. Uwamanzu-Nna stated, that her school days lasted approximately 13 hours not including all of the extra tasks she had to accomplish such as homework.
In Zoe Kleinman’s article she argues that people being tired is caused only by tech-related burnout. She used what Dr.Ramlakhan said but did not prove her statements with counterarguments. She poorly claims “Surely tiredness is a by-product of a busy modern life”. She is very ineffective in proving her statement. She is writing about many things stated by Dr.Nerina Ramlakhan, but does not have any actual scientific proof. She says that all of her patients have one thing in common, they all spend too much time using technology and not enough time away from it. One patient of hers even have a seizure from staying up all night playing video games on his computer. A man also got suspended from his job because he was up extremely early sending inappropriate

On July 28, 2015, Thom Dunn wrote about an issue that is often ignored by society today on upworthy.com. In his article, “What is 'Vocal Fry,' And Why Doesn't Anyone Care When Men Talk Like That?” Dunn analyzes the unnecessary criticism women receive due to their use of the lower register. His point is mainly addressed towards societies trying to define gender roles through this trend. Moreover, he recognizes how males aren’t panned for using the vocal fry while females continue to be punished for it. He suggests that we should worry less about the tone of a person and actually listen to the words they’re saying. While he uses strong logic and effective style in his writing, Dunn lacks credibility and fails to make an emotional appeal to his audience, causing his persuasive argument to be ineffective.
Keli Goff is an internationally recognized journalist, political commentator, author, playwright and screen writer (Keli). She claims that for the Republicans to win the war on equal pay, they need “shut up and play their cards right on this issue” (Goff). Goff is extremely straight forward and brutally honest in this article on her stance on the gender wage gap. In her article Goff emphasizes that the Republicans are not acting wisely with the voting to block the Paycheck Fairness Act, she supports her claims with evidence by discrediting certain Republican figures and pointing out that there is a gender wage gap of the employees who work at the White House. Goff portrays rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos and ethos effectively. However, with her harsh tone she appears to be very bias at first but uses strategies with evidence to support her stance and opinions on Republican party and their choice to block the Paycheck Fairness Act.

Karina Fonseca-Azevedo and Suzana Herculano-Houzel are two Brazilian female researchers. This article was their essay thesis when they studied their master degree in Morphological Science, Neuroscience at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. They applied the Isotropic Fractionator method on counting brain neurons; Isotropic Fractionator is a non-stereological method that allows the fast, simple and reliable determination of numbers of neuronal and non-neuronal cells in any dissectable brain structure, and has been shown to be as reliable as stereology. Hence, the research result should be creditable.
