This animated movie, made by Disney, was created so young children can watch and enjoy all over the world. This is a very popular film because it was the first animated movie created in England and made in color. In the 1930’s no one expected the technology to be that great and it exceeded everyone’s expectations. The prince arrived and gave her the first love’s kiss. She awakened and then it was a happily ever after. This movie has a mixture of themes going on. This comes from the proof of the movie by itself. The most important theme of this movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, is that true beauty comes from within. In the beginning of the movie, the mirror told the queen that she would not be the fairest because Snow White was the fairest of all. The queen was not pleased with that at all. The queen turned herself into an old wicked witch so that she could poison Snow White. The queen failed to dismiss Snow White because she was not being fair. The queen was afraid that the beauty of Snow White, inside and out, would be much better than hers. The lightning in the film impact it majorly. It showed the audience that the queen is a mean and an evil character. “They must decide when lighting is to be high-key or low-key” (Nicholson, 2010). The lightening is low-key so that it shows the bad vibes and aura that she is showing. Whenever Snow White is shown, it is usually high-key lighting because she has such a happy and pure spirit. She shows nothing bad or evil coming from her. It shows the audience if she is a good person or a bad person. The acting in this film is another factor. It contributes to the theme so well.
