FISH FISH, a proven way to Boost Morale and Improve Results was a great read and has opened my eyes to ways a professional in management should think, do, and manage their team if the team suffers from toxic attitudes. The book starts out explaining the main character Mary Jane, and how after her husband’s sudden death she had to take care of her two kids and put all her focus on her job to be able to make it in the world without him. By allowing this type of behavior and putting all her emotions and focus into her work made Mary Jane forget who she was and how to choose her own attitude. It took getting a promotion and having to deal with a team that she knew little about, except from the rumors the other departments said about them, to meeting a guy at a local fish market and learning the four practices to open Mary Jane up, and realize the secrets to a successful team and standing up for what she believed in to realize that it takes the small things in life to have fun, be happy, and make a difference in someone or multiple peoples life’s to making a toxic waste dump become a chairman award winning team! When Mary Jane gets the promotion to the third floor, she becomes worried because she doesn’t know how she will be able to get the third floor to become more professional, happy, and to just come alive.
