The film Bears Discover Fire written by Terry Bisson is a film that was produced by college students. This film covers many different controversial topics. The book allows for many different perceptions of these topics to be seen.. Although the title of the film has a scientific feeling, it is more of a fantasy than a science fiction film. In the film “Bears Discover fire” one may interpret the movie as more of a fantasy film, with that being said the elements of a fantasy story base line can be perceived in a much bigger picture. In the film “Bears Discover Fire” one may preserve the film as fansty. In the film, there are parts of the story line that truly cannot happen during this time on earth. For example, when the bears are standing upright. In this scene one may think to themselves that this is something that can/ will not happen. Today’s bears are not capable of standing upright and walking. Another example of a fantasy can be seen when the bears are walking around with fire. This scene shows signs of a fantasy because, a normal bear would not be capable of walking around with fire in their paws and setting up campfires. A final example of a fantasy in the film can be seen when, the grandma, Junior and Bobby are having a campfire with the bears in the woods. This is a scene that one might fantasize over. That is because it is not normal for humans to be close to a live bear and simple have a campfire with them. At this point a normal bear would have been frightened
In Fahrenheit 451 the fire is shown to reveal a certain character in the book. Most of the society wants all the books to burn and thinks that everyone should be equal. One certain character that fire has a big impact on symboling is Beatty. Beatty said, “Now, Montag, you’re a burden. And fire will lift you off my shoulders, clean, quick, sure; nothing to rot later” (Bradbury 109).
From the beginning to the end, A Bear Called Paddington, by Michael Bond, crafted a humorous tale for readers and listeners within the ages of six through eleven. Bantam Doubleday Dell Books published this story, which is a division of Bantam Doubleday Dell Publishing Group, Inc. Michael Bond formed the copyright information on October, 13 1958. The film on the other hand is called Paddington and was produced by David Heyman, while directed by Paul King. It is rated PG and was released in 2014. After reading the book and watching the film, the literary work created by Michael Bond was not fully addressed in the film. The film created new adaptions that I do not think were successful. When comparing the content of the book to the film, aspects of the book can be found within the film, but many are changed or altered. The film not only changed main events in the story, but they also changed most of the main characters personalities and added/deleted characters, which in the end changed the overall plot of the story.
As the fireman, Guy Montag, from Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury changes his view on the world, his view on fire changes as well. Throughout the book he encounters many different people who each change him in different ways. Some people convince him that fire is great because of its destruction. It burns away the things that make people unhappy, and changes things. However, as his journey continues, he begins to see fire as an escape. By the end of the book, he realizes that fire does not just take and destroy, but it gives.
In the opening scene of the story the thrill of burning and destroying books with fire is being
The dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 written by author Ray Bradbury in 1953, shows what he speculates the fate of society to be. The novel takes place in the corrupt United States when most people no longer read books and are satisfied only by entertainment. In the novel, the fire has been perceived in many different ways by the main character, Guy Montag, who was once a fireman. Firemen are mindless servants to society, who burn books to maintain censorship and stop people from thinking for themselves. Fire in Fahrenheit 451 has changed multiple times, from the fire being seen as destructive and chaotic to symbolizing rebirth and purifying. Mythological creatures, such as the salamander and Phoenix have influenced the change in the perception of fire.

KYLE P-ROLE PLAY- Man guys those soldiers really have it tough. I just saw a 12 year old boy on the confederacy side fighting in the civil war. The life of being a soldier turned out to be way different than I expected. We don’t even have enough food and medicine for us to live.
I believe a good reader is what makes a good writer. But because I lost my interest in reading, I’ve struggled with writing throughout the years. It wasn’t that I had trouble learning new skills but because I was pushed away from what I wanted to learn, so I decided to pursue other interests. Despite being eager to learn, my writing suffered due to my lack of interest in reading, however my skills in writing have increased as my drive to read has rekindled.
Often relationships with others can be formed at an early age. Relationships can vary from being friendships, or even ones formed between family members. Many relationships can prove to be complex and tend to evolve over time. Both “This is what it means to say Phoenix, Arizona by , and “the movie Smoke Signals illustrate the complexity of relationships between individuals.
In the short video “Death by Fire” we learn of the story of Todd Willingham. We are presented with facts about a fire, which killed Willingham’s three children, which ultimately sent him to his death. The case begins in the small town of Corsicana, Texas. On December 13, 1991 Todd Willingham’s home was ablaze and his children were trapped inside. Neighbors say they witnessed Willingham outside, on the front porch screaming for his children and screaming for help. As the fire raged, firefighters arrived on the scene and were able to pull one of the children out of the home. Unfortunately all of the children died due to injuries they sustained in the fire. While the fire raged in the house Todd’s wife Stacy was out Christmas shopping and was unharmed. The attitude of Todd after the fire began to raise question with those who were close to him and also with investigators. The night after the fire, a local bar had a benefit to raise money for Todd’s family to help pay for the costs they would soon face. Many say that Todd became too involved with the festivities and seemed like he did not care his kids had just died. They say that Todd was bragging about how money would begin to roll in because people would feel bad for him. Having seen these things, investigators immediately labeled Todd as their prime suspect.
Escape Fire, having the forethought and intuitive capacity in a time of crisis to embark on a decision that logistically seems impossible. As such, the current healthcare system is in a period of crisis and changes must be made. Additionally, the health system needs the inherent capacity of logical, capable and intuitive healthcare leaders to identify a break in the emerging threat. If the healthcare system continues in the direction that it is traveling, devastating results are sure to occur. While considering the titling of the movie and this assignment it appeared oddly connected to a healthcare course. However, after viewing the film the urgency of the situation depicts a comparable circumstance that the firefighters experienced in a time of uncertainty and risk (Heineman, Froemke, & Scott, 2012).
This is an evaluative essay comparing the short story, “The Bear Came Over the Mountain”, by Alice Munro and the movie Away from Her (inspired by the book). Werner Herzog directed a documentary film called Grizzly Man to show viewers how much interest Timothy Treadwell demonstrated towards human nature and how he demonstrates human nature through himself. Timothy Treadwell spent thirteen long summers in Alaskan Peninsula. He went to go portray his love and protection to the wild life and grizzly bears, which lead him to his miserable death. Herzog creates a sequence of scenes, comments, and interviews from people who is well connected directly or indirectly with Treadwell. His purpose of directing the Grizzly Man documentary through Treadwell’s own film was to convey the viewers the difference of human beings and the wild life animals. Herzog’s main effective argument was to convey how courageous and how insane Treadwell was to spend thirteen summers in the wild life of grizzly bears.
Silently, my senses begin to abandon their rationale…who is to say then what is real? The world that we live in, the reality, which we are a part of, is small and thus limited. That is why, in his infinite capacity for potential improvement, man created fantasy. Fantasy is BIG! To a certain extent it is more imaginative, more exciting, and more fun. Fantasy is like a lake where man throws all his ideas and dreams, and then he dives on in from the springboard of imagination. So, jump in to the lake. Why not? Just make sure that when you jump in to the lake you know how to get back from where you came from. Because, no matter how big a fantasy is, to the point that it somehow changes our perception of what is
