first the good: Tiler Peck and Andy Veyette were fantastic in Tchai Pas de Deux. she is perfectly suited to this piece, she really outshines everyone else in the company who currently dances this. (IMO of course.) People were audibly gasping during the fish dives--Tiler got a lot of air in her jump and the partnering was perfectly timed so there was no bumpy catch, as there sometimes is when the ballerina really dives. Andy has been looking a little tired in some of his previous performances of this--not tonight. His jetes en manege covered so much ground and moreover they just seemed to embody a fresh and joyful spirit. Not easy the night after a gala.
Eden Robinsons short story “Traplines” illustrates the struggles of an aboriginal upbringing surrounded by white culture. Will is the principal character, he is an aboriginal adolescent who is exposed to poverty, substance abuse, and violence within his family and friends. He has little mentorship or support until his English teacher Mrs. Smythe and her husband offer to adopt him. Throughout the story Robinson relies heavily on characterization, specifically Mrs. Smythe. The portrayal of Mrs. Smythe helps develop the theme which illustrates the differences between aboriginal and white culture in Canada.

On September 19, 2016, I attended a live performance at “Villa Elba Lounge” in the Bronx, New York. The group featured was “Felo Swing y su Orquesta” and the main singer was Felo Swing. During the presentation, the eight members of the group played an important role to accomplish their goal, which was entertaining. However, two of them had more than one function: they were part of the choir. But, also each one of them had to play an instrument; one a piano, and the other one a guitar. Most of the time, Felo Swing was featured as a soloist, because he sang most of the songs alone. The remaining five members of the group had also fundamental parts of the presentation: two of them played guitars, one the bongo, one the drum, and the only woman

On Tuesday, Hasbro issued a recall of approximately 985,000 Easy-Bake Ovens. The toy ovens in question have been sold since last may, and could cause hands or fingers to become lodged in the opening of the ovens, posing a risk of burns or entrapment. Of the voluntary recall, Hasbro explained on its site, "Consumers should immediately take the recalled oven away from children under 8 years of age and contact the firm for a retrofit with warning." The Easy-Bake Oven is an electric toy, and is only recommended for children 8 years of age and older. The specific ovens being recalled are pink and purple and made of plastic. They look similar to kitchen range with a front opening and four top burners. The words "Easy Bake" are printed on the front of the ovens. They each have the "Hasbro" name and Model Number 65805 stamped into the plastic on the back of the items. The ovens were sold for approximately $25 between May 2006 and February 2007. Retailers who carry the ovens include Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Target, and KB Toys, among others. Ovens sold before May 2006 are not included in this recall. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Hasbro, also made the recall announcement on their site Tuesday. More than 15,000 types of consumer products are under the jurisdiction of the CPSC. This agency exists to protect the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from such products. The CPSC 's work to ensure the safety of consumer
First, the commercial began with, “Are you tired of food sticking to your pan?” As it asked questions, I subconsciously answered them and I was automatically drawn in. The commentator went on and persuaded me to buy the non-stick pan; it stated that when you cook food everything will slide right off and that it doesn’t stick to the pan like other cooking pans do. He states that the pan is made out of ceramic and super strong

Acid Rain, or more specifically, acid precipitation, is an environmental phenomena. It is composed of sulfuric acid and nitric acid, in addition to water, which come to be due to the interactions between the water and atmospheric pollutants, such as sulfur oxide and nitric oxide. This combination of strong acids in water is known to be detrimental to the environment, infrastructure, and the health of people. Due to the water cycle, other water bodies, such as lakes and streams, are affected by the excess acid in rain in that their aquatic populations decrease. Acid Rain also leaches aluminum, as well as minerals and nutrients, from soils, harming vegetation. As for infrastructure, the acids in acid precipitation are known to erode metal and stone. Though acid rain itself does not damage people’s well-being, the sulfur oxide and nitric oxide in the air can react with other atmospheric compounds to produce fine, inhalable sulfate and nitrate particles, which are linked to heart attacks and damaging effects on lung function for those more prone.
