The story The Maligned Wolf by Lief Fearn, reveals the wolf’s perspective from the well known classic Little Red Riding Hood. As the story begins, the wolf explains his duty to keep his home, the forest, neat, clean, and safe. As the wolf is proceeding with his daily business, his attention is caught by a pair of footsteps near by. A young girl in a long red cloak passed the wolf carrying a suspicious basket, the girl's name was Little Red Riding Hood. Thus, the wolf decided to teach her a lesson on how serious it was to prance through the forest unannounced and dressed unusually, and as did her grandmother.
