“The Storm This Time” Analysis David Helvarg’s “The Storm This Time” from “The Longman Reader” illustrates to us the atmosphere in New Orleans just after the hurricane Katrina hits the city. He begins describing the New Orleans airport area, where he sees warehouses and motels with their roofs ripped off or caved in, then feeling lost in the city, he starts looking for help and asks for directions.
