Clarie's sudden decision to leave Mexico, and go to South Africa is the moment that stood out the most to me. She states that the question "Where do I want to go?" makes her happy. This moment stood out the most to me because, she took this decision after a romantic relatioship ended, and it ended up changing her life. The absurd decision caused her reflection, and opened her eyes. The reflection is caused by going on a ferry to Robben Island, where an African American women asks the tourist "how do you forgive? How can you possible forgive what happend here?" The simple answer "For us to pursure revenge would destory us," mingles in Clarie's mind. This later causes her to think of how insane it is that this man is no longer in a cell instead

DBQ: Was The United States Justified In Going To War With Mexico? When Congress voted to annex Texas, the U.S. and Mexico had different perceptions on what the border of Texas was; the Americans thought it was at the Rio Grande, and Mexicans believed it was at the Nueces River. After Mexicans killed 16 Americans north of the Rio del Norte, the states decided it was an act of war. Because this was the perfect excuse for him to ask for war, on May 11, 1846, President James Polk asked Congress to go to war with Mexico, and Congress made “The Mexican War” official.
She smoothes over Sofia's betrayal of the family, her running away and fighting with her father, by calling it lucky that she ended up with such a loving husband and a beautiful blonde baby. Her story about the thieves who got caught the night Sofia was born similarly reflects her desire to look on the brighter side of things. Tijoux is a daughter of two Chilean exiles who fled Chile to France after the 1973 Chilean coup d'état. Her mother María Emilia Tijoux is a very famous sociologist. If the reason by which their parents had to escape from Chile was just criticizing Pinochet’s dictatorship for not matching the criterion of the United States’ political environment, that’s OK. But if the reason by which they had to leave Chile was because they were the supporters for Allenda’s socialist ideology, the question arises is that why did they choose to live in France, a capitalist country, instead of a socialist, such as, Soviet Union, or Vietnam.

Out of the three country, when thinking about the most accessible country for to people to go and not too expensive. Additionally a country where we would be able to spend more money on providing services, than getting the money for each person to use to be there. In this country, we would be able to work with another organization, so that it will be able easier to work and more effective. This country is a better option, than the other two countries, as I would be able to speak the language and understand too. Additionally, the flight would be cheaper and not take hours to get there. Overall, going to Mexico will be more effective to travel to provide aid by building home with the help of Habitat for Humanity that already there to help make
Mexico exists today because of valiant people who decided to rise against the foreign oppressors who sought to exploit the lands and enslave its people. Declaring and obtaining their independence was a long and exhausting journey that ultimately left the country in ruins. Obtaining their independence was the first challenge that they had to overcome, but now it was up to the people of Mexico to reorganize and build their country. Constant years of oppression from the upper class had left an irreparable void in the lower class population, a deteriorating economy, as well as an unorganized government with a weak infrastructure.
The character Clemencia for Never Marry A Mexican is just so refreshing and modern. A women of her words. Her fierceness and unique voices help me realizes that these invisible double standard gender stereotypes is only as strong as to how much I believe in them. Before reading this short story, I was indulge into a society where it 's a shame for women to think of men sexually let alone a marry man. I think it is a sign from society to pretty much wanting women to be pure and well behave. But, Clemencia she goes against that current. Her thoughts are liquid and they sting. They let the readers in and be apart of her brain as a spectator. She makes the reader, realizes how powerful she is and she is able to have that power because
