Our flag stands tall and people say that it blows with the last breathe of every soldier who has given their life to our country. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day on the eleventh month in 1918 an armistice occurred. This soon became a federal holiday in
There are so many history stories in history books and on the internet, but the source from people who were actually there is so much better than reading the nonsense. It’s better to hear stories from people who have actually lived and witnessed it rather than just read stories
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude and the veterans deserve to have gratitude from others. The reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because without them we would not have peace and freedom in our country. Another reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because they have fought for us to have a good society instead of a corrupted one. After the veterans return from war they don’t change on how the treat people and not expect anything in return and that is why I am grateful. The nation’s veterans deserve to be celebrated and commemorated for their efforts and sacrifices.
Living in America, the land of the free, I have taken the right of freedom for granted a few too many times. To this day, certain populations around the world are not able to enjoy the right of individualism. Many are oppressed by their country’s strict law due to a primarily focus on male dominance, child labor, and female oppression. Obtaining freedom is never easy. It takes honor, courage, and commitment. Fighting for freedom is an ironic concept because soldiers must be willing to sacrifice their own. Even after knowing this sacrifice, we still have brave individuals who volunteer to put their lives in harm’s way for the safety and insurance of our freedom. It is only fair that we return the favor and take care of our soldiers and veterans
All military veterans make sacrifices, and fight courageously for our freedom. They protect our beloved county from disastrous peril. Veterans are one of the only reasons that we are safe, allowed to do what we want, and have free agency. They deserve to be honored and respected as amazing people who put aside everything for the country’s needs.
Veterans are important to our past and future because they help to keep our country free. They fight so we all have the right to freedom. These men and women are important, because they risk their lives every day for the United States of America. Without these veterans in the
People often say that freedom is not free and that price has been paid by countless brave individuals. These brave individuals are known as veterans. Veterans should be remembered, respected and honored because of their sacrifices, courage, and patriotism.
Veterans Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. We honor them because they fought and saved us from rivalries that were careless about us but our veterans stood up for us until we were safe. If you read history books about the american war you might’ve found that some men were under a lot of stress while training. But the thing that makes them special is they were the brave ones, some men didn’t meet the standards required but some men started training lifting those weights to meet those standards and try again. There are wise and caring people in the world and some times you may have to look for them because they are out
Throughout US history, many wars and battles were fought that marked America. Fighting within those wars were brave soldiers, which to this day, we know as veterans. Veterans are important to our nation's history and future, as they have contributed to make America the great and prosperous nation that it
Why Are Veterans Our America’s Heroes “The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war”.- General Douglas MacArthur. General Douglas was a Chief of Staff in World War II. This quote was said to mean
The men and women who helped shape the face of this country through their honor, legacy, and patriotism are those we call veterans. They are our dads, moms, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters; they are our family. Yet, we constantly overlook their desire and passion for this country. The gratitude that they deserve is not shown towards them, as it should be. I thank all veterans for their
We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people
Freedom is not free. It is obtained for us by people we don’t know in countries far away. Veterans are the key to keeping our country safe. They were willing to give up their family, friends, security, and even their lives to fight for the rights of those they don’t know. By risking it all, veterans are able to be an inspiration to a whole country.
US Veterans are proud to have served, but what if they stop caring and sharing the need for Freedom and our Republic to the future? Value our Vets, as they have kept Liberty and Justice alive, and will hopefully continue to inspire those who might make the same sacrifices again tomorrow. Veterans in today’s United States are less than 1% of the over 300 million in this country. I think Veterans are important for this reason today, and every day! Please see how important they are like I do.
Ismaelia Alba 3rd hour Veterans Day: Honoring Those Who Fought for our Freedom There have been many great wars in history of The United States of America, and these loyal, hard working and aging soldiers have come to be called veterans. A veteran is someone who has served or is serving in the armed forces. They are honored on November, 11 every year. That's how much they mean to us. We honor them because they risk their lives saving ours. They should be noticed for all their sacrifices. They should also be honored because they help keep freedom in our country. These are three reasons why they should be honored, there are many more because they do so much for us.
