This topic has been very interesting to me. Up until now I would have never seen bullshit and lying as two different things. However, according to Frankfurt’s definitions of bullshit and lying, they are distinctly two different things. A person who bullshits have a certain lack of connection or concern about the truth. When a person bullshit’s they have a sort of indifference to the reality of what they are describing or explaining. What the person is saying happened or how they feel is the false statement that they are giving to their audience, even if the meaning or significance behind it is true.
