Never let go of what you really love because later you will regret something you shouldn't have done. This is something that Meghan Trainor in "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" is trying to put out to everybody. In this song, she talks about how something you really love and can be let go will later be a regretful thing. She describes how her boyfriend used to be so close and know she regrets doing what she did. Trainor's theme of the song is that you never want to let go of somebody you love.
Throughout the song, Trainor uses similes, which helps the reader understand her pain of losing somebody special. Trainor describes herself as "dreaming of that person but in silver and gold like a scene in a movie". I believe that how Trainor describes that
The quote by Alfred Lord Tennyson “‘tis better to have loved and lost than to have never have loved at all.” is very powerful and very true. From the story How Much Land Does a Man Need? by Leo Tolstoy provides evidence of the truth of this quote and is also presented in the story The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. These two stories highlight the life lessons of loving something and losing it compared to not having had it at all. This quote can also be put into real life because everyone needs to make a few mistakes in order to learn and losing something allows for life lessons as well. Tennyson’s quote can be applied to a lot of things in life, like literature and even reality.
While reading chapter twenty six Hendrick was trying to refresh everything he has taught us in the previous chapters. Subjects like observation interpretation and application were mentioned by Hendrick. Also ways they can be used in verses, paragraphs, and large sections. Hendrick also refers to the 5 clues that can help us understand the Bible. Clues such as things that are emphasized, repeated, related, alike, and unlike. Likewise, the use of charts was also a tool that was very beneficial in deciphering large Bible sections. Therefore, Hendrick wants us to gather the previous tools and techniques he has given us and use them to start fresh on observing a section.
Second, another song that I feel best represents transformation is a song entitled “Breaking Point” by Keri Hilson. In this song the singer says that there is a limit to her love. In the song she says that there is a limit to her love. That meaning that shes done with men cheating on her and hurting and that its time to take a stand. In the chorus of the song Keri Hilson repeatedly says that there is a limit to her love. In the video its Keri Hilson and a bunch of other women chanting that their love has a limit. They are finally taking a stand to all the men that her them. I feel that people take other peoples kindness for weakness. Which has happened to me before many times and it doesn’t feel great at all. So, the song is very powerful to
Throughout the song the narrator attempts to remove his partner from the feelings of future nostalgia - “Don’t cry my sweet, don’t break my heart/ Nothing’s gonna touch you in these golden years ”. The subject of the song is experience a future longing and a dread of the present moment presenting a fear that she will reach the golden
Ludacris does a remarkable job of portraying his message about the struggles that some adolescents are faced with. “Runaway Love”, by Ludacris, featuring Mary J. Blige (2007), represents the theme of struggle through hip-hop and rap music. It is about little girls who are “stuck up in the world on their own.” They have to take care of themselves because the people they are around do not care about them. They range from nine to eleven years in age, and their goal in life, at such a young age, is to run away from home. Ludacris is trying to get the listener to realize the struggles that even children have to face because adults are not the only ones who have problems, like most people believe. He is very successful in
The song, "Girls Like Girls," sung by Hayley Kiyoko is a beautiful song that should be heard by everyone. The song is open to your own interpretation, like most songs. But to me, this song represents freedom and finding out who you are.
The song “Photograph” by Nickelback relates with the revolution in “Siddhartha” where he went on a long journey to seek out for enlightenment. During the ending of chapter twelve, Siddhartha had asked his friend Govinda to lean in closely, there he touched Govinda’s forehead with the kiss of his lips, and among that kiss, laid a significant meaning to it. For Govinda had “no longer saw his friend Siddhartha’s face; in its place he saw other faces, many of hem, a long series, a flowing river of faces; they all constantly changed and renewed themselves, and yet were all Siddhartha” (pg. 80). Govinda had then realized that he had reached enlightenment and thanked his motionless friend that smiled upon him. Nickelback had also indicated a similar

This very slow song, so in my opinion I think it reinforces a sense of bittersweet, because even though she mentions how she wants to be remembered for the good things that she did she also mentions death and regrets in her song.
Petra: What Doesn’t Kill You by Kelly Clarkson Concrete Detail 1: Petra never gave up and always came back for more after a brutal attack, she was the only girl there, which made her better than the rest. That is why Kelly Clarkson’s “What Doesn’t Kill You”, is meant for Petra. The lyrics, “You think you got the best of me, Think you've had the last laugh, Bet you think that everything good is gone, Think you left me broken down, You didn't think that I'd come back, I'd come back swinging, You try to break me, but you see”, mean that when everyone thinks that they are better than you and think that they have torn you down, that they were wrong and that you will keep coming back to matter what. Commentary 1: Petra was the only girl at battle
In the words of George Orwell, “If thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.” Language has been spoken for over 350,000 years. It has expanded tremendously, but its power has never changed. The use of language shapes peoples' perceptions and the depth of interactions because it can demean, avoid, portray emphasis, persuade, and conceal from simple phrases such as “I feel like” and “just”.
An idea that interested me in the song “Fix you” by Coldplay was how you will always have someone to lean on no matter what. When Chris sings “lights will guide home” he is using personification in this line because saying the lights will guide them is a human thing to do, as people guide each other which I think Chris is trying to demonstrate when he sings the lyrics “lights will guide you home.” It shows life itself because no matter how big the mistakes you make, no matter how bad life may seem, there will always be someone that will have your back. This reminds me of my friends who are always there for me whether its for when I’m feeling down or if I’ve had a bad day. These lyrics also emphasize that everyone goes through rough patchs in their life and they should let people try to help them. When my dog died this year, I didn’t take it well and I was distraught, but it made me going through the loss easier
The song "U.N.I.T.Y." by Queen Latifah, released in 1994, is a hip-hop song with a theme about the harassment, domestic violence and sexist slurs against women, black woman to be specific. Should “U.N.I.T.Y” be considered literature, specifically is it a poem? I think that every song, no matter what the genre is free verse poetry. However, this artist and song are important in the hip-hop as literature genre movement because of both the artist’s credibility and the message that she is delivering.
“How beautiful is it to live in a world where nothing lasts forever. We must learn to fall in love with the love inside us, only then every moment living will be worth dying for.” (Drake) It’s not easy falling in love. But when you feel like the right person has come along, you open up your heart, and commit to love to your last breath. This is what makes falling in love so hard, because it’s hard to be attached to someone you love, and in a blink of an eye, everything you loved disappears. Being in a faithful relationship is the hardest, but what’s worse is waiting for someone you think will come back one day and doesn’t. At that point you feel as if it, the world has ended and life isn’t life anymore without that person, you enjoyed life with. You don’t want to commit to something that won’t last, and will leave you heart broken in the end.
Don't look at me is the first line of Christina Aguilera's song "Beautiful." This instant whisper from the voice of Aguilera creates an ashamed vibe for the song. It is spoken quietly and without any musical instrumentation. As the music softly and brilliantly builds up to the first verse listener's already have a misinterpretation of the lyrics. The audience presumes that the song will be about depression or shame and disgrace because one would associate not wanting people to look at you with shame. However, once they read more into the lyrics they notice that the meaning of the song is much deeper than shame and actually has an opposite message. When the audience hears the title of the song they could
