Sources of Information Research is the collection, collation, analysis and evaluation of data. I used various sources to carry out the research work. I concentrated on getting data from the secondary sources. Secondary sources of information are analysis, interpretation and evaluation of primary sources A few sources of secondary information include:  Websites  Newspapers and Magazines  Academic books and Journals  Government Statistics  Research reports  Biographical works Primary sources of information are original materials on which research is based. They include:  Speeches  Interviews  Questionnaires  Patents The main sources of information were the audited financial statements of S.A. Talkie for the years ended 31 December 2011, 2012 and 2013. In addition to that I also obtained the audited financial statements of a competitor “Basem International Shipping and Logistics Company Limited”, hereinafter referred to as “Basem”. Given that the accounting profession is still in infancy in Saudi Arabia, the industry data was not readily available. Moreover most of the companies involved in this sector are privately owned and the financial information is not published. This resulted in limitations in benchmarking with the industry averages. I had some useful discussions with the management of S.A. Talkie which helped me understand the business trend and analyse the performance of the Company. These discussions provided me with valuable information about the future
