1) Find a song or organize a collection of songs that you believe CURRENTLY reflects the state of your romantic relationship. If you are not in a relationship, that is still a “state” of a relationship (think about why you are not in a relationship).
The song that I chose that currently reflects the state of my romantic relationship is Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld. I chose this song because I’m currently not in a relationship and I’m ok with that. Right now I’m content to be by myself and I think this song really captures those feelings “Gonna love myself, no, I don't need anybody else (I love me)”. I think it’s important to learn to be by yourself and love yourself. I don’t think happiness should depend on another person even though

I would choose this song because the the overall lyrics are really obvious “All I want to get is a little bit closer All I want to know is, can you come a little closer?” but also sweet and shows the person that I like them and am thinking about them “Here come the dreams of you and me. Here come the dreams.”. Also I think that the song would show them that I would want to treat them differently from other people and that they are special to me “Want you close, I want you. I won’t treat you like you’re typical. I want you close, I want you. I won’t treat you like you’re …show more content…
I would choose this song because I think that it shows so much emotion and even more if you share it someone important. It’s the ultimate : I’ll always be there for you song. “When you're weary, feeling small, When tears are in your eyes.
I will dry them all. I'm on your side. When times get rough. And friends just can't be found.
Like a bridge over troubled water. I will lay me down.” To me this song would show the person that I’m in love with that I love them and will always be there for them no matter how tough times get, I’ll be on there side “ When you're down and out
When you're on the street. When evening falls so hard. I will comfort you. I'll take your part.
When darkness comes. And pain is all around. Like a bridge over troubled water. I will lay me down.” To me the song also shows that when they achieve their goals I’ll be right by their side because I always knew they could and I’ll still be by their side even as they go on to shine“Your time has come to shine All your dreams are on their way. See how they shine. If you need a friend. I'm sailing right behind. Like a bridge over troubled water. I will ease your mind.”.
What song would you select to say “We’re over!” Why would you select this
I chose this song because, in my opinion, it has a good thesis that backs up the song lyrics and it gives you a positive feeling. Basically, the song is telling us to always keep our faith and stay strong no matter what. It encourages people to
In the song "stubborn love", written and sang by The Lumineers. Throughout the song, the writers use metaphors and symbols that convey the ideas of holding on and how attached him and his partner got in tough times. The song uses many metaphors and symbols hidden in their lyrics. The metaphors and symbols can convey many different meanings. A good thing about poems or songs that have different meanings can make the poem/song more meaningful or personal to the listener.
“I will jump in front of a train for you!” Phrases like this will melt a woman’s heart. Musicians normally express their feelings through lyrics, in various genres of music. One usually turns to another person for emotional support, but others will direct themselves towards music. In the same way that music can heal a soul, it is also capable of demonstrating others to show affection for whom they love. One lesson taught throughout love songs is, love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions. Two songs that come to mind are “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye, and “Grenade” by Bruno Mars. Both of these songs talk about love, and passion, however one talks about a desire for somebody, while the other expresses heartbreak.
First, the song shows what love can actually do to you as a whole. It can make you feel like you lost a piece of yourself
For my song I have chosen to do “Forever” by Jeff Williams. Jeff Williams is a songwriter that has other musical abilities like being able to play keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums. He is also an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music. He wrote this song to accompany a death scene in a web series called Red vs. Blue in the year 2012. He wrote this song for Red vs. Blue because he was the company that makes these videos an official songwriter for the past 3 seasons of the show. It was song by Jeff Williams’s daughter Casey Lee Williams. Therefore the meaning and tone of the song is one that is both deep and significant to people of all ages.
My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.
This song is a great representation of my friend situation this year. At the beginning of this year, my friend group that was very tight and supportive, split up. Our group got in a fight about including everyone, and ended up splitting in half. This was hard to go through, especially
The song that i have chosen is Horses by PnB Rock, Kodak Black, A Boogie wit da Hoodie. I like this song because it connects with me on a personal level. For instance, when it says, “Going so fast, hope i don't crash (skrr, skrr) One false move, that could be my last (yeah),” it make me think of me running, playing any sport or even work for school and how fast i do everything. The song makes me think that if one thing goes wrong it could be the last thing you will ever do. I chose it because it has a special connection with me. I admire all three performers, they all inspire me of what hard work does if you put the time in to do your work. I like all of A Boogie wit da hoodie’s songs they all are unique in their own way. Kodak Black is a fantastic performer. His songs have a special twist when he sings it. They all start off one way and
The song I chose talks about not telling the person you love how you feel until it’s too late and they are too far gone. Coming from the quote “you don’t know what you have tell you lose It”. I’ve heard this quote from dozens of people, maybe it’s because people relate to it by personal experiences. The reason I chose this song is because well for one I love George Strait, second because I relate to the lyrics and it can connect to anything not just couples, perhaps a friend or for example, there’s me I relate to it because I regret not telling my stepdad how much I appreciate everything he did for me and for not telling him how much I love him before he was long gone and now that I have no way to communicate

I picked “A Thousand Year” by Christina Perri. I love this song since the first time that I heard it. This song tells you that time can fly, and we can die but even thou he/she will love you for an eternity. My second song is “Because You Love Me” by Celine Dion. She transmits a message thru this song about the person that has been with her forever and how graceful she is to be with him. The singer cannot be more clear when she sings “You were my strength when I was weak, You were my voice when I couldn't speak, You were my eyes when I couldn't see, You saw the best there was in me
I chose “Humble and Kind,” by Tim McGraw as my theme song. “Humble and Kind” is a very good song that has very unique lyrics. The song gives advice on how to live. There are many manners in this song that are very important. The song is a parent telling their child how they should live life. It seems that the artist wrote the song on how he wishes he would have acted when he was younger. One of the main messages of this song are that everyone has something in their lives, but you still need to be nice. Some of the lyrics on the song are about the 10 Commandments. Even though we grow up, we still need to remember our manners and how to live life. “Don’t hold a grudge or a chip and here’s why Bitterness keeps you from flying.” This is an example
An idea that interested me in the song “Fix you” by Coldplay was how you will always have someone to lean on no matter what. When Chris sings “lights will guide home” he is using personification in this line because saying the lights will guide them is a human thing to do, as people guide each other which I think Chris is trying to demonstrate when he sings the lyrics “lights will guide you home.” It shows life itself because no matter how big the mistakes you make, no matter how bad life may seem, there will always be someone that will have your back. This reminds me of my friends who are always there for me whether its for when I’m feeling down or if I’ve had a bad day. These lyrics also emphasize that everyone goes through rough patchs in their life and they should let people try to help them. When my dog died this year, I didn’t take it well and I was distraught, but it made me going through the loss easier
This theme is brought through the song by showing multiple literary devices. Such as “I'm the one at sail, I’m the master of my sea”. This metaphor shows the realization and empowerment that oneself can give in a depressing situation. This simile “Falling like ashes to the ground, Hoping my feelings they would drown” compares his feeling of sadness and depression to ashes, and wanting them to drown and vanish, from his life. This line, “All the hate that you’ve heard has turned your spirit to a dove” explains how all of the hate that he has experienced and gone through has turned his feelings around, and decided to look on the bright side of things. Personally I think this is a great
The song opens with the lyrics, “What's wrong with the world Mama, people livin like they ain’t got no Mama, I think the whole world’s addicted to Drama, only attracted to the things that will bring them trauma” For me the lyric about “No Mama“ The people of today’s society don’t know how to behave properly. We lack knowledge and understanding of the world. We don’t pay attention to anyone but ourselves. We don't know right from wrong. We are completely oblivious to what this world is turning into and all we are doing are things that hurt ourselves and others. This lyric about having “No Mama” saddens me as there are a lot of people out there in this world who do not have a mother to guide them on the right path. We need a mother figure in our life because having a mother teaches us basic life lessons that allow us to survive and be a good person. Such as to always say please and thank-you, respect people, be kind and love your neighbour. I can not relate to not having a mother figure in my life as I have had the same amazing mother my whole life. She has taught me from the moment I was born, to treat everyone equally, be kind, and respect and love everyone. To this
