Throughout the song, the writers use metaphors and symbols that convey the ideas of holding on and how attached him and his partner got in tough times. The song uses many metaphors and symbols hidden in their lyrics. The metaphors and symbols can convey many different meanings. A good thing about poems or songs that have different meanings can make the poem/song more meaningful or personal to the listener.

“I will jump in front of a train for you!” Phrases like this will melt a woman’s heart. Musicians normally express their feelings through lyrics, in various genres of music. One usually turns to another person for emotional support, but others will direct themselves towards music. In the same way that music can heal a soul, it is also capable of demonstrating others to show affection for whom they love. One lesson taught throughout love songs is, love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions. Two songs that come to mind are “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye, and “Grenade” by Bruno Mars. Both of these songs talk about love, and passion, however one talks about a desire for somebody, while the other expresses heartbreak.

He is also an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music. He wrote this song to accompany a death scene in a web series called Red vs. Blue in the year 2012. He wrote this song for Red vs. Blue because he was the company that makes these videos an official songwriter for the past 3 seasons of the show. It was song by Jeff Williams’s daughter Casey Lee Williams. Therefore the meaning and tone of the song is one that is both deep and significant to people of all ages.

My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.

An idea that interested me in the song “Fix you” by Coldplay was how you will always have someone to lean on no matter what. When Chris sings “lights will guide home” he is using personification in this line because saying the lights will guide them is a human thing to do, as people guide each other which I think Chris is trying to demonstrate when he sings the lyrics “lights will guide you home.” It shows life itself because no matter how big the mistakes you make, no matter how bad life may seem, there will always be someone that will have your back.
