Men’s clothing included shirts that fell to the knees, sleeves were buttoned at the wrist and several handkerchiefs were tied around the neck. Ancient civilizations have had profound effects of what we know as the modern world today. The primary purpose for anything that lives is to survive. Throughout history animals, plants and humans have adapted to their surroundings. All living things have changed throughout time. The thing that differs humans from rest is, humans are more cognitively advanced. Over the course of time the shape and size of the human skull has changed. The size of the human brain has increased, which has allowed humans to adapt more to their surroundings. To survive, humans were making tools for hunting and to cut with. The closer you lived to the equator the darker your skin may have been, so you could adapt to the intensity of the sun’s rays. If you lived further

The Navajo Indians did not use silver jewelry until around 1870. The increase of silver jewelry among the Navajo’s at the time reflected the adaptation of these peoples to life as herds and silversmiths on the newly established reservations.

Fashion is very important in modern day society, and can be seen all around. Most of what people know about fashion today came from the fashion during the renaissance. From the vibrant fabrics to the spectacular jewels, renaissance fashion has been thoroughly threaded in the fashion of modern society. Modern day women often wear shorty, fun gowns, tightly fitting jeans, and lower cut tops. Popular fashion trends for men in modern society include saggy jeans, V-neck shirts, and stylish watches. “A fashion is merely a form of ugliness so unbearable that we are compelled to alter it every six months” (Oscar Wilde). Fashion in modern day society is ever changing, but most changes do not stray too far from the original product.
The fashion industry is rapidly growing and constantly generating new fashion trends almost weekly. Not only is fashion the reflection of self-image but also the reflection of our history as Coco Channel have said, “Fashion is not something that exist in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Fashion
Rapper turned Fashion designer Kanye West’s style depicts every aspect of strength I would argue that his style structure is based on a creative view point and I admire his eye for uniquely chic, classy and rough clothing themes. I would love to hone in on the Egyptian era of dress, I would argue that Egyptians themes are elaborate and creatively matched to the divine expertise of design. The theme that I would like to present Kanye West is the era of which clothing would be described as elaborate and exhumes authority and power the Egyptians had.
