Many animals around the world are severely affected by climate change. Climate change is the rise in average temperatures on Earth’s surface. When humans interact with fossil fuels, which are coal, natural gases, and oil, they release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere and can have a great effect on climate change. These changes include rising sea levels, landscapes being more prone to wildfires, and the pollen season length getting longer. Although these may be important, I think that the most important cause of climate change is how severely animals are affected by this. In the years ahead, climate change will have a significant impact on every aspect of the daily lives of all human beings -- possibly greater even than war. Shifting precipitation patterns and ocean currents could change where and how food crops grow. If icecaps melt and low-lying areas are flooded, as is predicted, entire populations could be forced to move to higher ground. The tsunami of 2004 and Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, provided vivid examples of what large-scale climactic catastrophes entail.

Our climate plays an important role in human societies and affects agriculture, ecosystems, our natural environment and our health.

I think I would want to be an Animal Migratory Geographer. I would want to see how the migration of animals effects the enviroments that they leave and enter. I came accross a video a couple years back that was about how wolves changed the Yellowstone Park river; the wolves caused what is called a trophic cascade. After being gone for almost 70 years, wolves were transplanted back into Yellowstone in 1995. The reason they were put there was to help reduce the number of deer becuase deer had over run the park and reduced vegetation to almost nothing. When the wolves came back they changed the behavior of the deer, by keeping them out of certain areas. This allowed trees and vegetation to thrive again, thus other species of animals began to return.

Climate change a constant topic discussed in today’s society, among these topics include its effect on the behavior of animals. The effects of climate change can alter a number of different behaviors in animals their migratory patterns, their hibernation patterns, their breeding patterns, and their eating behaviors and in addition, all of these alterations to a habitat could cause injury to the food chain of an ecosystem. Wildlife in an area isn't only affected directly by climate change but the alterations made by humans due to climate change. All of these different changing factors all add to the severity of climate.

Today, climate change is affecting our lives and the world around us. However, many people would rather believe that nothing is wrong and that humans are not at fault for helping make the world what it is today. But there are still the few who do believe humans are at fault, and would like to do anything they can to help. The truth is, it is not too late to fix what we have done.

In this 21-century climate change is becoming worse and worse. There is water levels are rising, animals in cold areas are starting to die because of the rises temperatures, and humans' health is being at risk, why because of human activities. The activities that humans mostly do is burning fossil fuels and deforestation.

The impacts that global warming has on humans varies on where in the world they are, how sensitive they are to health threats, how much they are exposed to climate change impacts, and how well they are able to adapt to change.
