Andrew Carnegie was well known for being in the steel industry and a philanthropist in the late nineteenth century.Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25,1835 and died on August 11,1919 at the age of eighty three.Him and his family came to the United States from Dunfermline when he was only thirteen years old,after his family was in poverty.Andrew had grown up in a family that believes in books and learning and because of this he is an avid reader.
