Upang makamit ng isang bansa ang sarili nilang …show more content…
( Ti napudpudno a gayyémmo, am-ammontó no addáka ití pelígro.) ( No sáan nga makaammó nga nangtaliáw ti naggapuánna, saán a makadánon ti papanánna.)
The small community of Pikangikum in Northern Ontario, for whom we were raising money to provide half a house with drinkable water, is not served by the Ontario electric grid. It relies on diesel generators for its power. The provision of water is dependent on electric pumps and heaters.
Joaquin took a big risk when he chose to enlighten his readers with his viewpoints regarding the reason behind the Philippines’ lack of progress as a country. Through his article, he bluntly called out how Filipinos have already succumbed themselves to “small greatness”, and made meticulous observations on the nation’s culture (which he later compared to those of foreign countries). Being a Filipino writer and historian himself, Nick Joaquin presented trivialized issues of Philippine culture and mentality. He has seen and experienced the raw fruits of the so called, “heritage of smallness” at first-hand. Through years of explicit observation of the society needed to be able to write Philippine literature and historiography, he has developed a keen eye and understanding of his kababayan’s actions, decisions, and his own history. These conclusions were drawn from their earlier ancestors way back when they neglected to conquer neighboring lands, and pursue blind ventures far from their own. Most practices and skills from the olden times have remained stagnant up to this day that they have failed to advance and concur with modernity. An example
The article by A. Ka Tat Tsang, is compelling in so many ways. The article outlines the development of truth and lies and how people who lie get further in life. People in society tend to believe deception more than truth due to the fact that it sounds better to hear. The sad world we live in today continues to deceive each and every single one of us. At the end of the day people choose what they want to believe in and personally I have witnessed individuals believe lies over the truth just for their own personal benefit. The media continues to deceive people on so many different levels. For example, advertisements on weight loss continue to portray effective fast weight loss to individuals however, that is not the case. Many individuals choose to

Filipino club welcomes many new members each year and some of those members aren’t only new to the club, but the country as well.
highlights a dichotomy between what is supposed to be a “good” Filipino and a “bad” one.
Has it ever occurred to you that it’s slightly abnormal that all countries that exist today are growing, developing, and expanding at different rates and standards? Some until recently, were still living as if we were in the stone age? An excellent example for this is the Papua New Guineans. Throughout time at least each nation has advanced compared to what it was like thousands of years ago. The origin of maintaining an undeveloped lifestyle long left behind by the rest of their world all come down to their isolation from other cultures, specificities of their environment, and their lack of large settlements which comes down to geographic luck, and how you use it as an advantage.
Among findings in the oral cavity, oral leukoplakia is a relatively common encounter for dentists. Typically seen as a white smear in the oral cavity, oral leukoplakia may be the symptom for many potential outcomes. It could possibly be oral cancer, it could be pre-cancerous (called dysplasia), or conversely it could be completely harmless. Oral leukoplakia is usually not indicative of cancer, but in many cases it is still worth it for the dentist or practitioner to send a sample for a biopsy in order to determine conclusively if there is any cancer causing potential.

The world views that were formed about Filipinos are business – minded which is evident in their business or occupation such as convenient store, street selling of ballot and so on. Second, Filipinos are resilient; even in times of sorrow we still find time to laugh at our own misery. Lastly, Filipinos are creative and resourceful which is evident the self – made object like bamboo organ, and jeep. However, at the latter part Bob Ong’s
