Barrel racing is one of the most unique events at a rodeo. It takes a lot of time and effort to get your horse and yourself to learn the barrel pattern and know how to correctly go around the barrels. Once you start to race you’ll never want to stop it’s probably one of the most funnest and competitive things you can do. During barrel racing there are a few things you should know that will help to a successful run. Might want to have a wonderful trainer that will always be there to help, need know the gear needed for this event, and might not know but need to regular exercises with your horse everyday.

The Quarter horse is a common breed that does many different kinds of sports. The main sports that the Quarter horse is found to compete in is rodeo events, horse racing, and some jumping events. These horses are very common in the United States especially for these different sports that they do (Blocksdorf, 2018).

Horses have been around for more than 50 million years. Once horses and humans came together they have been clicked since in many ways (Walter). Humans had made horses broken to do about anything for about 6,000 years (Walter). Over the time of breeding and cross-breeding we have made powerful horses from large Percheron to the little miniature ponies (Walter). Some examples are the things that horses had changed human history from battlefield to farming to packing out in the West (Walter). People nowadays had really relied on a horse to let them, let things go that is on their minds and they are most spirited and kind-minded companions anyone can have (Walter).

From the second you pull up to the race track you catch a glimpse of the oval shaped, quarter mile clay track that contains four sharp turns. As soon as you exit your vehicle, you are faced with a distinct odor of the sweet smell of cherry race fuel that is burning off of the race cars preparing to go out onto the race track from the pit area. The “pit area” is the location of the race track where all the racer car drivers and pit crew members park, fine tune, and tweak their set ups on their race cars for the particular track. The adjustments and set ups of the races cars are vital due to the fact that every set up is unique to each and every track due to the different shapes. The largest joint in the horses is the stifle joint in the hind legs. This joint is a lot like the knee in us, humans. The lower Femur, upper tibia and patella (knee cap) are the bones that make up the joint. Sitting between the femur and tibia is the semilunar cartilages(menisci)this helps with shock absorption and helps keep the joint positioned correctly. The Patella sits on the trochlea a track like structure that sits on the lower end of the femur. This structure purpose is to reduce friction and to transmit extension power from the femur down to the tibia. Barnyard Animals includes the care of barnyard animals, types of animals found at the barnyard, and places that barnyard animals can be shown, like the county fair. I am focusing mostly on farm animals but I will accept and write about almost all animal related topics. I am looking for 1st and 2nd rights. Over the year’s people have been upset over the fact that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) conducts round ups on the wild horses. Some people don’t like the use of the Helicopters, and believe each herd group should state with each other in the same holding pen. Then there are the Ranchers who believe after each round up the Mustangs and Burros shouldn’t be allowed back to the rangeland because they would end up grazing in their fields and leave nothing for their own animals. All these are good points and true statement, but, these round ups are for the protection of the herds themselves, the other wildlife and the rangelands.

Animal performances have alway held a special place in the hearts of the AGT viewers. Offering up how dogs can learn new tricks, any four-legged animal has a leg up when compared to the family pets. While many of the animal acts don’t get far in the competition, they are some of the most popular AGT videos watched online.

I was looking forward to a wonderful day at the Speedway. My brothers and i were departing from my house as fast as lighting because we were running late and the races were about to begin. It was an event for just American Muscle. The three main brands of cars there was Dodge, Chevy, and Ford. Everyone has their personal favorites like my second brother Steve likes any muscle car as long as it goes fast. My first brother Tino likes Chevy, my personal favorite is Dodge. We had our eyes focused on a 900+ horsepwoer Dodge Challenger ScatPack, z28 Camaro with 875+ horsepower , and last Stev was eyeballing a Mustang 5.0 with 900+ horsepower. The next set were making is a blind set. This set is pretty much how it sounds, where trying to catch the animal off guard. When making a blind set we don’t want the animal to notice anything we want the ground to look just how it was before. To make this set we will need to go out and find an animal trail that is used pretty often. Then go and take a shovel and dig a hole big enough that we can put the trap in and be able to cover it so the ground is even all the way across. So after we have the hole dug take some steaks and the trap and steak it down right where the whole was dug. Then take some salt and sprinkle down in the hole so the trap wont freeze to the ground, then go ahead and set the trap and put it down in the hole and make sure that the pan that triggers the trap off is level with the jaws on the trap so it fires of easier.

When people think of horses, an image of them trotting free through exceptional green pastures and coming home to devoted owners appears in our minds. What happens to horses when their owners do not want them anymore? What happens when show horses become to old to make their owners anymore money? Numerous bills to regulate horse slaughtering have been introduced and passed temporarily. The time is now to push for there passage permanently. Regulation is needed due to the dangers horse slaughtering is bringing to not only every single horse but also the people consuming the meat; temporary reinforcement is not sufficient enough.

In addition to that , its evident that when controversial topics concerning jump race horses are brought to attention, the question will in most cases be combined into one question having to do with animal protection or human animal interrelationships with one another(Bridle et al., 2015). Based on the knowledge that when it comes down to horse jump racing the industry is questionable due to tumbles and deaths that happen to horses with it being shown by the media in a terrible atmosphere slightly exaggerated to the reality (Bridle et al., 2015). This peace of information claims that when the media gets involved in accidents that occurred during horse jump racing, the portrayal of the sport is shaped into a negative one causing the public to be critical. Maybe the reason people feel negatively about the safety of horses is partially influence by the negative representation that is specially crafted by the media.

The sport of rodeo is often considered one of the largest problems for animal abuse. Each event is under attack by organizations such as SHARK, but several of their allegations are not exactly true, especially for rodeos within the United States. The examples these organizations use as animal abuse do happen but not to the level they would lead you to believe.
