The infamous line, "You complete me," from the Jerry McQuire movie is a total crock and precisely why I think When Harry Met Sally is the absolute best romantic comedy EVERRR!!!
Men and women cannot be friends because of sex. This is the premise of my favorite movie, When Harry Met Sally. When Harry Met Sally is a comedic movie directed by Rob Reiner, written by Nora Ephron, and staring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal. I first watched When Harry Met Sally with my mother when I was eleven years old. Over 30 views and I am still in awe of this movie. I choose to focus my paper on this movie because of it qualifications that make it my favorite movie. When Harry Met Sally has a fantastic cast, great lines, and an intelligent premise. I intend to focus on the most iconic scene in this movie, the orgasm scene. This scene occurs while Harry and Sally are just friends and Sally is trying to prove a point about women to Harry.

In the book Outliers, sociologist Annette Lareau states that concerted cultivation is a middle class “parenting style” that attempts to actively “foster and assess a child’s talents, opinions and skills,” granting the child earlier advantages such as self esteem and additional education (Gladwell 104). In Rowling’s early childhood, she was often encouraged by those around her to write when she first showed an affinity towards writing. Both of Rowling’s parents were very fond of reading, and Rowling remembers that her childhood house was full of books, giving Rowling endless books to read ("JK Rowling Biography." , Bibliography). Her grandmother often praised her writing and gave her an autobiography of a female writer by the name of Jessica Mitford, inspiring Rowling to become a writer as well (“People’s World.”). By having parents who were fond of reading and an environment that gave her unlimited access to books, Rowling was exposed to what would later become her passion early on. Like her parents, Rowling learned to love reading, and her grandmother even encouraged her, pushing Rowling on the path of becoming a writer. As Rowling grew older, she would create stories specifically tailored for each of her friends during lunchtime, all centered around heroic deeds. Her friends were delighted to hear themselves placed into one of Rowling’s stories, and Rowling would constantly think of new and exciting tales in order to please them ("J. K. Rowling Biography." -

In 1533 married Anne Boleyn and makes Thomas Cranmer Archbishop of Canterbury. In March 1533 the Statute in restraint of appeals is passed. This is considered as many historians as the “key legal foundation of the English reformation”. This act meant that all appeals to the pope of rome were forbidden making the King Henry the final authority and where the money went to. These appeals were both religious and political. This act was possible because England declared itself to be an emperor. This meant that anyone following the rulings of the catholic church were breaking the law. In 1533 the Archbishop declares Henry's marriage to catherine of
It helped rekindle the world’s love for reading and encourage many to pursue writing. J.K. Rowling is a role model for young women, she gained recognition from her intelligence and creativity instead of physical features. She encourages women to pursue their dreams through their hardships, have determination, to express imagination, overcome failures and to excel in areas where sexist opinions are still held. Born in 1501, Anne Boleyn was the second wife of King Henry VIII, and served as Queen of England in the 1530s. Boleyn was born in England, but moved to France for most of her childhood, and upon returning to England in 1522, worked for King Henry VIII's court as maid of honor to his queen consort at the time, Catherine of Aragon. It was Anne Boleyn’s sister, Mary Boleyn, who first introduced Anne to King Henry VII. Upon meeting her, King Henry VII had already begun swooning for her. He proposed to her the thought of her being his one and only mistress, which she, to most people’s surprise, refused immediately. According to Boleyn, she was not interested in being a mistress, only a wife, which she claimed was impossible so long he was married to Catherine of Aragon.
Anne Boleyn, referred to as the great whore of England or the goggle-eyed whore, opened the door to such name calling when she had finally helped push Queen Catherine out of their Kings place in his heart. In the eyes of the people, Anne Boleyn was fully to blame for the sudden wicked changes that took place in King Henry the VIII. They adored and seemed to back Queen Catherine of Aragon, and still saw her as their rightful Queen. Their love for Queen Catherine greatly blinded them to even viewing the good that did exist within Anne Boleyn. It was not just the love for Queen Catherine that caused the walls to be built between their acceptance of Anne Boleyn however; after all, it was Anne Boleyn who had closed the eyes of their King to behaving morally and religiously in the right.

Rowling may have several things in common but the largest thing that they share is their ways of an introvert. One of the reasons Auden was such an introvert at the beginning of her journey was because of the high expectations of her parents and the way she isolated herself from the other kids from an early age. Auden early on talks about her parents and her early childhood stating that, "In their minds. that was something I could overcome, if I just tried hard enough. (Sarah Dessen, Along for the Ride, 172). Auden's parents were always very strict with her and had high expectations of her even form an early age. They felt that she could always be better and would be able to skip the chaotic part of a childhood and go straight to the books and success. So in this way Auden was different then other kids from a very early age and had a hard time relating to them. Auden was different then other kids from a very early age and had a hard time relating to them do to the differences in witch they were raised. "I didn't understand their craziness, their energy, the rambunctious way they tossed around couch cushions, say, or rode their bikes wildly around culsde-sac,” Auden says expressing her feelings towards the other kids when she was growing up (Sarah Dessen, Along for the Ride, 8). Auden wanted to be a part of a group and to feel like she belonged, but it was difficult for her when she was unable to relate to the other kids and play with them in the ways they were accustom to. Although J.K. Rowling may not have had a hard time relating to other kids when she was younger or had strict parents that does not change the fact that she still grew up to become an introvert. J.K. Rowling actually recalls on her website that she first had the idea for Harry Potter in 1990 when she was traveling alone on a delayed train from Manchester to London. "I had been writing almost continuously since the age of six but I had never been so excited about an idea
