Books or stories affect people in different ways, many of them being happy because everyone lives happily ever after. Very rarely do I get affected by books, and the Story of Anne Frank is one of them. This poor Jewish girl, has to hide away with seven other people, three of them being her actual family members. Mrs Vandaan was one of the many people living in that annex. In some way shape or form I connected with this character on an emotional level. She showed me that there is more to life than buying the most expensive clothing, and how to care for people. Just as she cared for her husband and son. When Anne dropped milk on her fur coat, it showed me that I should forgive, even if it seems like it could never be forgiven. Even if it was a coat from my father. Anne’s life became the opposite of a “normal kids” life, when she had to go into hiding. This I find cruel and unfair, she should be able to go play outside and hang out with friends. Yet she can’t, and it’s all because of a religion. When she’s in this annex she is getting skinnier and skinnier by the day because they have so many people, and not a surplus of food. This cruel, for this girl and her family to have to go through this. It makes me even more upset because of my german heritage. World War 2 was caused because of Hitler and his desire to make the perfect race. This meant getting rid of the Jews, why this group of people I don’t know, but it’s still unfair. He thought that if you had blue eyes and
The first part of the diary starts with her being a regular girl having fun and turns into a girl going into hiding with seven other people. In addition, she has to deal with relation problems with her mom, sister, and the people she is in hiding with. The problems begin when eight people are confined in a small area and everybody begins to irritate and annoy one another. Anne was especially concerned with herself and with her attitude towards the others in the group. She's mainly concerned with her mother who always treats her like baby. Mr. Frank tires to ease the quarrels between them by telling Anne to help out more around the house, but Anne stubbornly declines preferring to concentrate more on her studies. She especially gets plenty of confrontations with Mrs. Van Daan who thinks she is a spoiled little girl. Mrs. Van Daan constantly tells Anne’s father, “ If Anne were my daughter.” Anne’s respond to this in her diary was, “Thank heavens I’m not!” Of course
That is truly amazing. Anne makes everyone happier and just smile more. She can bring the best out of people and, in situations. Anne is just being a teenager and trying to have fun. I truly hope I can be like Anne someday. This girl went through torture and pain and still kept a smile on her face. Meanwhile if teenage doesn't acquire an iPhone they have a fit. We all need to take lessons and look at what's really important in life. Anne knew that family is more important than anything. She would do anything for them, it played a major role in making sure everyone wanted to continue on the journey they were all fighting for. If Anne was not a part of this hiding, who knows what would have happened. I'm so glad I was able to be taught a lesson from such an aspiring young woman, who had a horrible fate. We can not even comprehend the full story on what went on in the attic. There could've been much more terrible situations that happened in hiding that we will never know about. Nobody can judge anything that happened in hiding, because they will never truly know how it felt to be cooped up for two years. We should all give the Frank family our most respect. Especially to have a little girl who believed in people so
“It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.” (Anne Frank) Anne Frank was one of the many children who fell victim to the Holocaust during the World War II. Anne’s story is nothing short of a tragedy; she died at the early age of fifteen from Typhus while being held by the Nazi Regime, in the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. Before dying, Anne and her family went into hiding and lived secretly in her father's office building in the Netherlands. While living in the “Annex,” a secret hiding place, she developed many interests such as reading and writing. Anne is famous because she is one of the best-known victims of the Holocaust, her story has been shared with millions in a publication of her diary, and through her writing’s she introduces many people to the massacre and its horror.
The Holocaust was one of the most tragic event in history when about six million Jews lost their lives to the Nazi. It was a very tragic and evil thing that the Nazi’s did. However, a Jewish girl, Anne Frank, said this: “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Through everything Anne and her family went through, she always saw the good in things. After reading the play about her diary, I would have to agree with Anne’s quote. One of the main reasons I am agreeing with Anne is the kind and selfless thing that she did for her family and the people in the Annex on Hanukkah. However, I can see why you might disagree with Anne and myself by Mr. Van Daan and his selfish and unkind actions.
Jews have perished because of their beliefs since the beginning of time but never have so many Jews been persecuted worldwide as they were in World War II. Anne Frank’s diary reaches a place within all of our hearts because it reminds us how easily the innocents can suffer. Sometimes we may choose to close our eyes or look the other way when unjustifiable things happen in our society and Anne’s tale reminds us that ignorance, in part, claimed her life. Sadly, her story is but one of many of those who died in the Holocaust and as with other Jews, her fate was determined by the country she lived in, her sex and her age.
The Holocaust, a morbid atrocity that made people question humanity, was the cause of millions of deaths. One of those victims of this brutality was Anne Frank, a young Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis along with her family. Although she was merely ordinary, Anne Frank kept a diary which became a significant, historical artifact in the modern world as it details her account of concealing her identity from the outside world. Her story, told in an innocent perspective, allows individuals to reflect the dreadful events of the Holocaust and acknowledge how far we have come since then. Even though she died along with millions of other victims from the Holocaust, her spirit still exists thanks to her articulately written words in her diary which is now considered one of the most famous works of literature. Anne Frank’s legacy still lives on today because her story provides a primary source of a dark period in history, insightful contemplation of humanity, and motivation for people to stand up against unjustified persecution.
Don’t you hate it when your family and strangers treat you in a harsh way. Anne Frank was treated harshly by some people in the secret annex people would yell at her call her spoiled lazy and was always telling her what to do. But some people treated her nicely like Peter VanDaan and her dad in a way that made her feel loved by some people around her. Anne was a twelve year old girl when she was forced into hiding because she was a Jew in Nazi territory during WW2. Anne is treated by the people in the annex in many ways and that effects her character in such a way that changes her character.
"The Diary of Anne Frank" tells us a story about how her life as a Jew was drastically changing during the Holocaust and the start of World War II (WWII). She was a very intelligent young woman that had hopes and dreams. Anne was a normal teenager trying to find her way in life. All of that changed when the Nuremburg Race Laws were formed. Her father who was a World War I fighter hid his family and friends in a Secret Annex that was blended in with a normal neighborhood. As she lived for months in the Secret Annex, Frank had written her diary, full of her experiences in the Annex. Everything changed though, when she reached the end of her times in the Annex. Hitler's men had found Anne and her family and friends. This memoir adds in to the
Otto, her father, was a very well respected businessman and a leader of the Jewish community. Anne had one sibling, a sister named Margot, who was two years older. At the time, the country 's leader was Adolf Hitler, his followers that supported him were known as “Nazi’s”. Hitler blamed Germany 's economic disasters on the Jewish people, in order to fix this, he wanted to annex people who practiced the Jewish faith out of the country. He sent these people to concentration camps, better known as death camps. It was almost impossible for anyone to survive. The camps consisted of gas chambers, leading poison into a room killing everyone. The main cause of death was starvation, and the poor conditions leading to diseases. Throughout the book, she explains how hard it was to for her, and her family to get away from these horrible tragedies that took place. “Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.” Anne tried to see the positives in life, but it is hard when a grand genocide is happening.
In conclusion, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis brought a lot of damage to the Jewish and others. People were forced to hide in order to keep their lives. While they were hiding they could not do a single thing that would put them at risk of being found. “The Diary of Anne Frank” puts all of this into perspective. Anne kept a diary with her while experiencing the struggles of this war. Her diary helped people to feel what she was feeling during that time.
The Diary of Anne Frank is a remarkably moving book about the short life of a young girl and her family. The Holocaust was a horrible time for Jewish people and Anne and her Jewish family’s lives were completely turned upside down as a result. The war resulted in the deaths of countless people, mostly innocent people. Before the invasion on D-day and the end of the war not too long after, the rest of the world didn’t know the real disaster going on over seas. Anne Frank’s once secret diary has introduced the immense suffering and horror that occurred during the Holocaust.
Many people were hurt by Adolf Hitler's plans and one thing he achieved was killing six million Jewish people including children. Anne Frank and her family were one of them. They lived in a secret and tiny annex where Otto used to work. They started off just going to stay there for a few months till the Allied Forces could invade Holland but that didn’t work out. In the drama wrote by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett eight people crowded into annex for 2 long years not being able to go outside. Many historical events were impacted in the drama Anne Frank. Even though these problems took place outside of the secret annex it changed the mood and relationships of the character.
Millions and Millions of Jews were killed during this event including a little girl named Anne Frank. She was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany; Anne Frank lived in Amsterdam with her family during World War II. Trying to stay away from Nazi persecution of Jews, the family went into hiding for two years; during this time, Frank wrote about her experiences and wishes. She was 15 when the family was found and sent to the concentration camp, where she died. The Diary of Anne Frank was a big success and was read by millions. “Despite everything, I believe people are good at heart.” (Frank). I strongly agree with Anne because most people do the stuff they do to get attention, and the cause of that could be from their parents not giving them attention as a kid, so if you think about it it’s not their
The story The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl and her family going into hiding from the Nazis in the 1940s. Throughout the time in the attic where they are hiding, the characters learn many new things and face new challenges. The story is based off of a real diary that the main character, Anne Frank, kept at the time they were hiding. The story has been around for many years, and has even been made into movies and plays. Historical events are reflected in the play The Diary of Anne Frank by showing the characters thoughts, actions, and feelings.
During the devastating time of World War II, a Jewish teenage girl wrote a diary about the gruesome events she witnessed, this diary was named, Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank. Anne Frank lived in Holland and went into hiding when her sister, Margot, got a letter to go to a reception camp. The Franks faced terrifying moments during hiding.
