Anti-discrimination laws related to employment Advertisement Administrative assistant desired for a mid-sized software firm. Candidate must possess at least an associate's degree, at least two year's previous experience in an office and be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. As an administrative assistant for XYZ software, the candidate will be the first point of contact for customers when they walk through the door. The assistant will direct customers to the desired personnel; provide information about the company to visitors and prospective clients; and answer email and phone queries. Other duties include proofreading and composing documents; maintaining the office schedule; composing and reviewing budgets and expense accounts; and taking notes when needed during meetings. The assistant must keep office materials organized, including the promotional software which is used when demonstrating programs to clients. The assistant will ensure that the necessary rooms are reserved for meetings with clients and for in-house staff. At times, the administrative assistant may be asked to compose sales and marketing materials. The candidate must be comfortable using Facebook, Twitter, and other social media as one of the administrative assistant's duties will be to compose frequent updates about our new products and services.
