Vietnam is known for many things such as their culture, traditions, cuisines, landscape, war, and their people. Vietnam includes many different landforms as well. Vietnam’s absolute location is 14.0583 N and 108.2772 E. As for its relative location it is surrounded by three countries and the Pacific Ocean, the three countries surrounding Vietnam is Cambodia and Loas to the West, while China is to the North. Some physical features of Vietnam are the Red River Delta that is fronted by the hills that rise into the high mountains in the Northwest, the coastal lowlands and the Mekong River Delta in the Southern regions, and the Annam Highlands which covers up most of the central landscape. About twenty percent of low-lands covers the country. Vietnam also includes human characteristics such as the Temple of Literature in Hanoi which is a temple founded in 1070 by emperor Ly Thanh Tong. Another human characteristic is the Flag Tower of Hanoi that was built in 1812 for the Vietnamese emperor Kinh Gia Long. Cars are used in Vietnam but they aren’t very popular because most places are close by, but boats are because of the water and monsoon season sow when it floods it’s easier to get around with a boat rather than a car. Vietnam has eight different regions and a few decades ago Vietnam was split into two, North and South Vietnam. The eight regions are Northwestern, Northeastern, Southeastern, Central Highlands, Mekong Delta, North Central Coast, and South Central Coast. As for Physical regions Vietnam contains the Anamite Mountain Chain, Red River, and the Annam Mountains.
