Blame is defined as the allocation of responsibility for a wrongdoing. Individuals take it upon themselves to blame others for a fault in order to avoid criticism from others and justify the errors they have made themselves. Within the The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, a play written by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet blame their parents’ feud for not allowing them to be together as if it was a completely uncontrollable external source, killing themselves as a way to take control. In turn, their deaths cause those living to question the reasoning behind their death, blaming each other to divert attention to themselves as being responsible. The couple’s death is primarily due to Friar Laurence and Romeo and Juliet themselves.

In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, while Juliet is under the pressure of external, Romeo is personally responsible for his death. Romeo is personally at fault for his death for his early end.
